While Nischelle headed to the Caribbean, rent headed to the passport offi ce, where he pleaded his case to an offi cial, who must ha e harbored a romantic streak, because si hours later he recei ed his passport rri ing in the aymans the ne t afternoon, he took Nischelle on a pre-arranged sunset stroll on e en ile each, then proposed while a photographer captured the whole thing from afar fterward, the pair headed to a beachside restaurant, where Nischelle s family was gathered to celebrate

he couple s wedding weekend began with a mehndi ceremony, where henna designs are applied to the bride s hands and feet he wedding itself took place the ne t day at elle er, whose contemporary waterfront setting spoke to Nischelle s aesthetic rent arri ed at the ceremony atop an elaborately draped horse, before joining Nischelle under a custom mandap (wedding canopy) draped with billowing blush curtains and a chandelier wanted something that was a bit different from traditional mandaps, says Nischelle, who worked with wedding planner Erica rombetti from nfi nite ents he groom sported a traditional sherwani at the ceremony, while the bride wore a saffronand-pink sari before changing into an iceblue silk lehenga embroidered with crystals that took nearly fi e months to create
