What inspired your interest in real estate? My first house purchase was a diamond in the rough foreclosure in Portland. My wife and I had the help of a realtor and loan officer, but still had to navigate many unforeseen obstacles. It was then I realized I could be good at this! Years later we sold our house, and also learned real estate can really be a sound, lucrative investment. What advice would you give a first time homebuyer? The first step to buying a home is to get a prequel letter. Once you have a letter, be honest with yourself and stay within your monthly budget. Now you’re ready to tour some homes. What do you enjoy the most about the business? Buying the right home is one of the most important financial decisions a person will make in their lifetime. Negotiating between the buyer and seller, on an accepted offer, and sometimes later repairs, can really be fulfilling as well. I enjoy being the relaxed voice of reason.
