Twisty the Magician Saturday, July 23, 6pm About 12 years ago I was bored and wanted to do something fun and exciting so I went shopping and found a balloon twisting kit with a very cheesy air pump. I said to myself "Why not?" and took it home and blew up my first balloon. Then VoilĂ ! I made my first poodle and then a butterfly and found that I had a natural talent. After I taught myself how to twist a couple of balloons I decided to enroll in California Clown College held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Circus Circus. I really didn't like dressing like a clown and was ready to quit, never to do balloons again. Then I ran into Ed Alonzo (Saved By The Bell). I saw his magic show at Magic Mountain and it inspired me not to dress like a clown. Once I found my image I was ready to entertain and have been doing so ever since.
Live Band: Beau Teak Saturday, July 23, 7pm Beau Teak, soon to be Rock ‘n Rewind, members Greg (guitar), Thierry (keyboard), George (guitar, harmonica), Marcus (bass) and Pete (drums) are a band of musicians based out the Eugene area who blend their styles to bring us music popular in the 60s and 70s. They have played locally at the Port of Toledo's Wooden Boat Show and Toledo Elks Lodge. Some of their covers include Get Back, Sunshine of Your Love, Let It Be, LA Woman, Whiter Shade of Pale and more. This is fun, sing along, get-out-of-your-seat-anddance music!

They will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this coming January 2017. Al worked for Lorne Dixon Motors until 1958 when he became partners with Cliff Crosno, a long-time insurance man. They became Crosno & Jones Insurance. Al’s son-in-law, Jim Franklin, joined the business in 1977. In 1986 Al retired and his daughter JAnn and sonin-law Jim purchased the business. Oleta worked for a time for CP Moore and then stayed home to raise their 4 children, JAnn, Karla, Royce and Tana, who also all graduated from Toledo High School.
