PARIS SUMMER INTENSIVE STUDIES
First established in 1921, Parsons Paris is an ideal setting in which to develop global awareness and explore creative careers. Get a glimpse of the art and design college experience through an immersive course of study taught in English in Paris. This three-credit program is open to high school students entering their junior or senior year and to recent high school graduates.

PARSONS SUMMER ACADEMY
Parsons Summer Academy offers a variety of dynamic in-person noncredit art and design courses for students in grades 3 through 12. Join us for two weeks in August at our Greenwich Village campus to explore art and design through hands-on projects that develop your creative thinking skills, techniques, and collaborative abilities. Or focus on creating a specialized fine art or design portfolio. Courses for students in grades 9 through 12 count toward the Parsons Academy Certificate program. Courses include Fashion Design, Drawing and Painting, Illustration, and Portfolio Development.

PARIS SUMMER INTENSIVE STUDIES
Acquire academic credentials and deepen your knowledge in one of the world capitals of culture: Paris. Join like-minded college-age students pursuing full-time degree programs or building competitive portfolios to prepare for careers or advanced study and adult students acquiring new professional skills. You’ll benefit from learning in a stimulating academic environment that only a top art and design educational institution can provide. Choose from Fashion Communication, Fashion Design Process, Photography, Business of Fashion, Drawing, Painting, and Introduction to Design and Management. These project-based, credit-bearing courses are taught in English. Earn 3 credits per course, up to 12 credits.

LUXURY DESIGN MANAGEMENT

INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
UNITED NATIONS SUMMER STUDY
The United Nations Summer Study (UNSS) program immerses you in the United Nations system, offering hands-on preparation for international careers. UNSS course work exposes you to relevant concepts, theories, and histories, and colloquia and site visits connect you with UN staff and professionals. Optional practicum (student team consulting projects with a UN agency or nongovernmental organization). This program is open to advanced undergraduates, master’s and PhD students, and continuing education students.

INTERNATIONAL FIELD PROGRAM
The IFP is designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, offering firsthand field exposure to a range of perspectives, ideas, and people through field trips, guest speakers, professional internships, and facultysupervised projects. For 2023, applicants choose one of four available sites: the Balkans, Cuba, Ethiopia, or Palestine. Topics covered range from community development, policy advocacy, citizen journalism, and post-conflict state building to urban planning and long-term monitoring and evaluation. The Balkans program is also available online for remote project work, independent research, and/or virtual internships.

CREATIVE WRITING
SUMMER IMMERSION
Generate a substantial amount of new writing fast in these three-week online intensive workshops, offered in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Renowned faculty members guide in-depth discussions of student writing, carefully review students’ work, and provide written feedback. Special emphasis is placed on building a supportive community of writers who inspire one another and make a space for creating new stories in an uncertain world. Credit and noncredit options available.

BOOKS FOR WRITERS
What better way to launch your own summer of writing than by taking a deep dive into three outstanding recent books—one of nonfiction, one of fiction, and one of poems? In this immersive course, we ask how each author does what they do and how reading and discussing these works with a community of writers can deepen and enrich our own writing. We consider context, content, and craft. Credit and noncredit options available.
