NEW YORK ART, FASHION, AND DESIGN NEW YORK SUMMER INTENSIVE STUDIES Parsons’ world-class programs are back on campus, as well as online. Study alongside expert faculty to deepen your knowledge of art and design while earning three college credits. Immerse yourself in the inspiring environment of New York City in the oncampus program, or learn from anywhere in the world with our unique real-time online format. Studio classes are academically rigorous and artistically stimulating, featuring project-based learning, art and design field trips, guest speakers from industry, and portfolio reviews aimed at developing and honing your creative and professional skills. PARIS FASHION AND DESIGN PARIS SUMMER INTENSIVE STUDIES Acquire academic credentials and deepen your knowledge in one of the world capitals of culture: Paris. Join like-minded college-age students who are pursuing full-time degree programs or building competitive portfolios to prepare for careers or advanced study and adult students who are acquiring new professional skills. You’ll benefit from learning in a stimulating academic environment that only a top art and design educational institution can provide. Choose from Fashion Communication, Fashion Design Process, Fashion Photography: History and Practice, and Introduction to Design and Management. These project-based, credit-bearing courses are taught in English. Earn 3 credits per course, up to 12 credits. LUXURY DESIGN MANAGEMENT Polimoda and Parsons Paris have partnered to offer you an unprecedented opportunity to learn from some of the best fashion and design minds in the world through an itinerant study program in two European fashion capitals, Paris and Florence. INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS UNITED NATIONS SUMMER STUDY The United Nations Summer Study (UNSS) program delves into the United Nations system, offering hands-on preparation for international careers. UNSS takes you beyond a narrow focus on security and diplomacy to investigate development, human rights, humanitarian action, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, and environmental and reform issues. This program is open to advanced undergraduates, master’s and PhD students, and continuing education students. INTERNATIONAL FIELD PROGRAM The IFP is designed to extend learning beyond the classroom. The in-person track offers firsthand field exposure to a range of perspectives, ideas, and people through field trips, guest speakers, professional internships, and faculty-supervised projects. In the remote studio track, students use online hubs for project work, independent research, and/or virtual internships. Topics covered in both tracks range from community development, policy advocacy, citizen journalism, and post-conflict statebuilding to urban planning and long-term monitoring and evaluation. CREATIVE WRITING SUMMER IMMERSION Generate a substantial amount of new writing fast in these three-week online intensive workshops, offered in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Renowned faculty members guide in-depth discussions of student writing, carefully review students’ work, and provide written feedback. Special emphasis is placed on building a supportive community of writers who inspire one another and make a space for creating new stories in an uncertain world. BOOKS FOR WRITERS What better way to launch your own summer of writing than taking a deep dive into three outstanding recent books—one of nonfiction, one of fiction, and one of poems? In this immersive course, we ask how each author does what they do and how reading and discussing these works with a community of writers can deepen and expand our own writing. YOUTH & PRE-COLLEGE BEGIN YOUR DESIGN JOURNEY AT PARSONS Get a taste of the college experience in an encouraging yet challenging environment designed just for young creatives. Pre-college students gain access to Parsons’ network of leading industry professionals as well as forward-thinking faculty and scholars online or at our reopened New York campus. Students can build their pre-college portfolios through a rigorous hands-on curriculum that features studio classes and workshops.

PARSONS SUMMER ACADEMY Parsons Summer Academy offers a variety of dynamic in-person noncredit art and design courses for students in grades 3 through 12. Join us for two weeks in August at our Greenwich Village campus to explore art and design through hands-on projects that develop your creative thinking skills, techniques, and collaborative abilities. Or focus on creating a specialized fine art or design portfolio. Courses for students in grades 9 through 12 count toward the Parsons Academy Certificate program. Courses include Fashion Design, Drawing and Painting, Illustration, and Portfolio Development. SUMMER PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS PARIS SUMMER INTENSIVE STUDIES First established in 1921, Parsons Paris is an ideal setting in which to develop global awareness and explore creative careers. Get a glimpse of the art and design college experience through an immersive course of study taught in English in Paris. NEW YORK FILMMAKING INTENSIVE Combining 16mm filmmaking craft with high definition (HD) digital techniques and tools, this six-credit course immerses you in the history and practice of making movies. Learn to communicate through the unique language of cinema and how to use its power to question, provoke, educate, delight, amaze, and transform.
