Ride locations To begin with the scheme will centre on three locations of North Hykeham, Metheringham and Heckington whilst looking to develop more locations as the project develops. Rides will be off-road or on safe, quiet roads. North Hykeham has five parks as well as Millenium Green where there is a circular route around a peaceful lake providing an oasis of calm. North Hykeham has a range of sport and leisure facilities and has good access to Lincoln with a newly refurbished railway station. The surrounding parks and facilities such as Hartsholme Country Park, Skellingthorpe Old Wood, Tunnman Wood, Hilt Holt Wood, Norton Big Wood, Whisby Nature Park, Natural World Centre and the newly refurbished ONE NK Centre are the local highlights.

Launch rides Sunday 12th June 2016 at 2pm Start and Finish Venue ONE NK Centre Café, Moor Lane, North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6 9AX Three ride levels will be on offer, Easy, Steady and Challenge. Each ride should take approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Refreshments will be on offer from 2pm to 2.30pm before a ride briefing. Once finished relax with some further refreshments all free of charge,

Metheringham is situated approximately 9 miles south of Lincoln and 10 miles north of Sleaford. The railway station is on Station Road for good transport links. The ‘Metheringham Fayre & Feast’ which takes place in mid-October every year traditionally marked the end of the harvesting season and provided a focal point for the local farming and business communities. Historically, the village has met the needs of the local farming community but it now acts mainly as a feeder village for Lincoln and provides housing for many RAF personnel serving at the nearby bases. Heckington is situated between Sleaford and Swineshead Bridge. The Parish supports a population of around 4,000 with most residents living in the village and with a few hundred in the surrounding rural area. Heckington is famous for its 8-sailed Windmill and annual village show, it is a fun, friendly and safe place with plenty of local amenities and excellent road and rail links.
