The chosen charity for the event was the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Appeal, to which a cheque of £1,000 was presented by Chairman of North Kesteven District Council, Cllr Lance Pennell and Mat Hall from Robert Woodhead LTD who also held a project team tournament in August. Teams from North Kesteven District Council, Scape, the organisation which the project was procured through, Woodhead and 1Life played in a 6-aside competition to raise funds for the charity, along with further donations collected from spectators who attended the Football Festival on Saturday, 6 September. Chairman of North Kesteven District Council, Cllr Lance Pennell was on hand to officially declare the pitches open, and hoped that the new pitches would bring enjoyment to the local community for many years to come.

New plans have been approved by North Kesteven District Council’s Planning Committee following consultation with users. A further £1.1m in funding has been granted in order to
carry out further works during the refurbishment, to include the resiting of the flume to partially go outside, creating a better spectator view of the pool hall. As reported in the previous newsletter, other areas
