One centre, One place - OneNK The redeveloped centre will welcome a new name in 2016 when it is fully reopened. During last year’s consultation period, members of the public were asked for their thoughts around changing the name and the idea was welcomed. Four options were put forward before the NK Centre Project Board; consisting of NKDC Project Officers, NK School Headteacher, Martin Connor, NK Contracts Manager, Matt Stothard , and Architects, Faithful and Gould as well as NKDC’s Executive Board for consideration.

The four options were: - LeisureNK - OneNK - NK Life / Life NK - ActiveNK After much deliberation it was thought that OneNK united all the services in the Centre and beyond. The ‘One’ place to go in NK; gym, swim, exercise classes, a healthy lifestyle, theatre or even school. With further potential to incorporate other Health, Leisure, Arts & Culture services under the name in the future if required. You will notice this
