VFlume - first of its kind in the UK!
VFlume is the name behind the new iSlide at One NK, the £3.6m refurbished centre on Moor Lane, North Hykeham. A panel of students from NK School, and the Youth Council put together a list of names based on the brief of aviation, and VFlume was the chosen one! “The name derives from one of the experiences the user can pick whilst on the flume, as well as the aviation resemblence to the area it now resides. North Kesteven has a vast aviation heritage, and the name VFlume just seemed fitting” said Mike Lock, Leisure & Cultural Services Manager. The involvement of students from NK School has been welcomed during the whole project, starting from the early days when the 3G Pitch was laid, to the flume being installed now. The Young journalist Associaltion has also been covering the progress throughout. “It’s great to see their enthusiasm for the project. It is kids like these and their families that will use the centre, and their excitement over the improvements is reassuring” said Mike.
What is iSlide? iSlide is proud to be the world’s first manufacturer supplying interactive plug and play modules for new- or existing waterslides. By using competition and interactive gaming with the link to social media the perception of waterslides has changed dramatically. Nowadays it is more important to have an extensive experience and entertainment prior to the size and length of the ride. On top of this there is more;
the iSlide generates extra free exposure and internet traffic by having the possibility to upload your picture to social media, all traffic can be used as MARKETING TOOL. The iSlide systems use various interactive modules which are expandable over the years to surprise and satisfy your guests every visit. It is proven that these interactive systems generate a lot of traffic and higher turn over, therefor you have a quick return on investment.

Phasing Update - On the home stretch! It has been over a year in the making, but has definitely been worth the wait. Right from the outset this project has shown potential, and we couldn’t be prouder with the outcome. Now heading for the home run with the final phase, here is a brief look at where we are at.
