A New Vision for Retirement
Renovations worth celebrating are in the works at The Evergreens
There’s a sense of excitement at The Evergreens, a premier Acts Retirement-Life Community in historic Moorestown, New Jersey. It’s contagious. Everyone on campus, staff, and residents, seems to have a little spring in their step this spring, as the community transformed with new renovations.
As early renovations to the historic Matthews Hall at the heart of campus have begun to roll out, more exciting changes are on the way. “The two-year project, which we expect to complete this year, includes a fully renovated clubhouse, lobby area and front entrance,” says The Evergreens Executive Director, Tom Burke. “The clubhouse will feature a new bistro, coffee shop, theater, wellness center, salon, and rehabilitation space as well as an expanded fitness center and renovated restaurant, library, and game room. This renovation project – the most ambitious in our history – is part of a master plan that has been carefully developed with the next generation of retirees in mind.”
The scenic 32-acre community features expansive outdoor spaces, including a 9-hole putting green, maintenance free gracious living options and a wide array of superb amenities and activities enjoyed by the vibrant, active residents that live there.
As a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), The Evergreens offers more than just maintenance-free living today. Residents enjoy long-term comfort and security. With Acts Life Care®, they know they’ll pay for future care in today’s dollars should they ever need it.
“The new renovations bring a new excitement to our campus,” says Farryn Harte, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at The Evergreens. “When we are presenting our community to a prospective resident or family member, the ability to showcase the enhanced services and amenities of the project is a pleasure. This renovation will just add to the delight and gratification of living and working at The Evergreens for everyone. “

Mah Jongg, canasta, pinochle – everybody’s playing these games these days and you can, too!
Maybe you’ve seen friends or folks in your local community center or library laughing and socializing and just overall enjoying themselves at the card tables playing any of these games. And maybe you wished you could join in the fun but don’t know how to play and think perhaps these games might be a bit too difficult and arduous to learn?
Balderdash!
YOU can learn the fundamentals of each of these games at Game Friendzy in Cherry Hill, the area’s premier tabletop game location to learn and play mah jongg, canasta, and pinochle (and bridge, too, for those so inclined!).
After an introductory session you’ll be ready to play at a basic level and, as you continue to play, enhance your knowledge with various game-playing strategies.
