Learn Canasta or Mah Jongg in a Day “Learn in a Day” sessions for canasta and mah jongg are back by popular demand at Game Friendzy in Cherry Hill on Saturday, October 28! The canasta session will run 10 am-1 pm, and mah jongg 1:30-4:30 pm, at Game Friendzy, 7 Carnegie Plaza, at the back of the Fox Rehabilitation building, where there is free parking. Taught by Game Friendzy owner Bernadette Hennessy May, these short sessions are the perfect way to quickly and easily learn the basics so you can join your friends or groups already playing these popular classic games.

Sanctuary Foundation for Veterans Sanctuary Foundation for Veterans (SF4V) has been providing supportive services and housing assistance to members of Burlington County for almost a decade and has significantly grown over this time. SF4V provides services to Veterans and their families, homeless persons, and victims of domestic violence throughout southern New Jersey. SF4V also provides advocacy, benefits assistance, housing assistance, linkage to care and much more. In 2022, during the pandemic, SF4V received a grant from the New Jersey Department of Health to Mitigate and Prevent the spread of Covid-19 throughout Burlington County which led to the creation of the VAXX Squad. The VAXX Squad is a group of outreach staff hired for a New Jersey Department of Health grant that was awarded to SF4V for 2022-2023. Our team collaborates with organizations throughout Burlington County to curb “vaccine hesitancy” of the Covid-19 vaccines. This program has made impacts on the lives of over 8,000 Burlington County residents by giving them education packets on Covid-19 and by getting them vaccinated and tested to
lessen their chances of getting and spreading Covid-19. Over 2,000 Covid-19 test kits have been distributed throughout Burlington County. Vaxx Squad has partnered/collaborated with more than 30 Businesses/Organizations to service the Burlington County resi-
dents together. This has been the highlight of this project and re-funded because it has opened so many Resources that would not have been made. We are extremely grateful to have been given this opportunity to better our communities.
