Autumn Princ A freshman from Sylvan-Lucas High School, Princ made her QDPH NQRZQ LQ KHU ÆUVW high school season. After claiming regional championships in both events, Princ a week later swept the 1,600and 3,200-meter runs in Class 1A at the state WUDFN DQG ÆHOG FKDPpionships at Wichita’s Cessna Stadium. Princ ran 5 minutes, 25.64 seconds for the 1,600 title, then 11:39.16 for the 3,200 title.

Kian Coffey Coffey, a Stockton High School gradXDWH FDSSHG KLV ÆQDO high school season by claiming a pair of gold medals in the 1A state WUDFN DQG ÆHOG FKDPSLonships at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. Coffey captured the title in the triple jump by going 45 feet, 7.5 inches. Then the future Fort Hays State University Tiger jumped 22-8 to claim his second gold of the weekend in the long jump. The triple jump title was the second of his career with Stockton.

Decano Cronin Cronin, a Fort Hays State University junior from Cork, Ireland, claimed the NCAA Division II national championship in the 800-meter run. The transfer from Iowa Central Community College ÆQLVKHG LQ PLQXWH seconds. He became FH68½V ÆUVW QDWLRQDO FKDPpion in the outdoor season since Zach Kindler won the javelin in 2001.

Clayton Rasbeary A first-year Hays Lark, the freshman from Stephen F. Austin (Texas), Raspbeary enjoyed a hot start to the summer in Hays. Through eight games played, he was batting .450 as of June 14. He scored five runs in that span on nine hits with two doubles and four RBI. He also walked seven times.
