he Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has begun a review of operating licences of air-
lines, in a bid to ensure air safety in the nation's airspace. Consequently, the aviation regulatory body has warned airlines that they risk suspension of
their operating licences, otherwise known as Air Operators Certificate (AON), if they default to carry out safe operations. Spokesman for the
NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, said in a statement yesterday that the action was in pursuit of its oversight responsibilities as stipulated by law. The agency an-
