Chidoka orders staff audit in aviation agencies Wole Shadare

taff of agencies in the aviation sector have been gripped with fear of possible job losses following a directive by the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Osita Chidoka, for a
fresh audit to ascertain the number of workers in the various agencies and to see whether they were properly engaged. According to a source, Chidoka said the staff audit was necessary to repositioning the agencies.
The ministry had last week sent out forms with the title: ‘Update/Review of Staff Nominal Roll of Agencies,’ which advised all staff to input their bio data in preparations for the staff audit. The source added that
the essence of the staff audit was for the ministry to know the exact number of staff in each agency and their qualifications, among others. After the filling of the forms, all the workers were required to submit the doc-
uments to their Heads of Department for approval. Although, most of the workers were yet to return their forms to the ministry as at yesterday, some of them feared that the exercise could claim their CONTINUED ON PAGE 4
