he House of Representatives yesterday resolved to investigate Stallion Group, Popular Foods and Olam

brought by Hon. Simon Arabo (PDP, Kaduna) alleging that the three firms colluded with their foreign partners to import rice exceeding their approved quota into Nigeria and owe the country about N28.3 billion in unpaid import

duties. In adopting the motion, the House, presided over by the Speaker, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, said the actions of the companies were capable of scuttling the nation's selfsufficiency drive in rice
