he Senate has approved $52 as oil benchmark
for the 2015 budget, it was learnt yesterday. Senators confided in New Telegraph that the decision to fix the oil benchmark at $52 as against the
$65 mark proposed in the 2015 Appropriation Bill was reached after an executive session, which held behind closed doors. One of the sources said
the decision was taken in view of the unrealistic figure proposed by the executive in the wake of the volatility in the global oil market that had dragged
