he Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is step-
ping up efforts to protect further depreciation of the naira through speculative demand as it contemplates stopping the sale of foreign
exchange to importers of goods such as rice that are already being manufactured in the country. It has also assured
stakeholders and the market not to panic over the developments at the foreign exchange market, adding that it will not al-
