Early Act Club Dances Its Way Through First Big Fundraiser

Roxbury’s Agent Sales Associate Cell:973-945-2880 Invite me in for a Free Price Analysis

March 2017

By J.L. Shively he Early Act Club of Kennedy Elementary School had students rocking in their pajamas at its first big fundraiser. The Pajama Dance-AThon was held on the evening of Feb. 3 at the school and was one of the first fundraisers held by the club, which is new to the school this year. The Early Act Club, which has been in the district for some time, found its way to Kennedy School and has been embraced by the third and fourth grade students who are a part of it. Early Act is a club which is linked with the Roxbury Rotary Club and is a stepping stone to the Interact Club at the high school. Similar to the Interact Club and the rotary, the Early Act Club is “about

T

building citizenship” and “dong good deeds” says Courtney Forsman, club advisor and special education teacher at Kennedy. The fundraiser was chosen to help revamp the Sensory Garden at the school. The Sensory Garden is a “calming multi-sensory

place,” explains Forsman, and the goal is to “open it up so everyone can benefit from it.” After brainstorming ideas for a fundraiser, the kids of the Early Act Club chose to do a Pajama Dance-A-Thon, hosted by Principal Eric Renfors

who acted as the DJ for the evening. The Dance-A-Thon invited the community to join in at the Kennedy school, transformed into a dance hall for the evening and rocked the night away in their PJs. continued on page 2

First Big Fundraiser... continued from front page

A bake sale was also held the evening of the event and helped to raise $150 alone. All together the event raised a total of $1,400, which will all go towards needed repairs for the garden. Repairs include a new fence, new plants and even a big outdoor instrument to add a little music to the surrounding nature. The children recently voted on which instrument they wanted for the garden and chose to put two amandindas in the garden. An amandinda is a durable, beautifully-tuned instrument made for the outdoors. The garden already features tables for people to sit and read and once some

much needed weeding is done, will feature new plants in the spring. With the money raised the school will have enough to make the repairs needed to the fence as well. Another fundraiser featured at the Dance-AThon event was the Purple Pinkie program which is linked directly to the Rotary. Purple Pinkie helps to raise money for polio vaccinations for children in other countries who cannot afford the vaccine. With the donations given at the Dance-A-Thon event the Early Act Club was able to raise enough money for 70 vaccines. Every child that donat-

ed to the cause was given a purple stamp on their pinkie finger to show they are “supporting a kid in another country,” states Forsman. Forsman noted that this fundraiser was their second event, after a Toy Collection which was also a success. The club consists of approximately 50 active members, Forsman states, and these students seem truly excited to be a part of it. Next up on the agenda for the Early Act Club will be at a Board of Education meeting set for April 24, where the students plan on presenting what they have accomplished so far as a group.

Hunt For Eggs At Church’s Annual Event By Elsie Walker he Energizer Bunny is known for never stopping; he just keeps going and going. The same might be said of the Easter Bunny’s annual visit to the Community Egg Hunt and Puppet Show sponsored by the Port Morris United Methodist Church in Landing. The 29th annual event is set for Sat., April 8 at 1 p.m. A puppet show and games will be held in the church’s fellowship hall and then the bunny will lead the children to where he’s hidden the eggs. The event is free and open to children ages two – 10. Ages seven and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The event has evolved

T

from its early beginnings into an event which has become a yearly tradition in some families going on to a second generation. Former Landing resident Jessica Notari, who now lives in Pennsylvania, has played the event forward and brings her children Tony and Madi each year. She said, “What makes the United Methodist Church of Port Morris Egg Hunt so special to me is that my grandmother used to bring my sisters and me to the hunt, and after I was too old to hunt anymore, I became a helper. Since then, I have only ever missed two years and those were the years I was pregnant with my kids. Now, I never miss the opportunity to bring my own

kids to the festivities and visit with old friends and our beloved bunny. I'm very much looking forward to continuing the tradition for years to come.” Twenty-nine years ago, the event started as just an egg hunt. The day of that first hunt, the weather turned bad, but it didn’t stop the church from having it. Instead of looking for eggs outside, the fellowship hall became the hunting grounds with parents scrambling to take pictures of their children finding eggs. The hunt ended with the breaking of a piñata. Since them, some things have been added. A puppet starts the event, done by local puppeteer, Tina

Berchak of Stanhope. Age appropriate games became part of the mix such as bunny golf, go fishing, and more. Children can get temporary tattoos and enjoy refreshments. A goal is to give the children a time they won’t forgot. Jennifer Kaislig of Hopatcong shared, “both of my grown children have fond memories of attending the Easter festivities and now my youngest son, Daniel, enjoys attending with his friends. It is a fun time and lots of memories are made. I am very thankful to the coordinators.” While the event has grown over the years, and those children who once attended have become parents bringing their own children, one constant has been the Easter Bunny. The same bunny that visited at the first Egg Hunt 29 years ago continues to visit

O

the event each year. The Easter Bunny mingles with the children, leads them to the place where the eggs are hidden and poses for pictures with the children. “What can I say….I love Easter and I love children,” said the Easter Bunny. For the church, it is a beloved yearly event. The church’s pastor, Nick Petrov shared, “The

Easter Egg Hunt is such a joyful event at Port Morris [United Methodist Church]. It is a privilege for the Port Morris congregation to organize the egg hunt for the children. We try to serve the community in a number of ways and this yearly event is one of them.” For more information, call the church at 973-3470381.

hen Attorney Alyssa Greenberg joined the Rotary Club of Roxbury, she was initially attracted to the group because of their focus on making a positive impact in the local community. “I would always see what great things they were doing in the community,” she says. She was also interested in the group because it is “professionally oriented” with many business people working together to help others. Now, five years later, she serves as secretary on the Board of Directors for the chapter and said, “It grew into something that I really love.” A while back someone from the community approached the club with the idea to hold an art auction as a fundraiser.

“Since I was the only one who really though it was a good idea, I became the chair person for the event,” she laughed. Thankfully her efforts were not wasted, and about $16,000 of art was sold at the First Annual Art Auction held at The Quality Inn in Ledgwood on Jan. 13. More than $5,000 of those funds have already been equally distributed between two local families, both of whom are in the process of making their homes accessible for their children with mobility issues. Jacob Kohner and his family live together in their home in Ledgwood, which is in need of some upgrades “which would allow him to exit by himself” said Greenburg. He uses a wheelchair and it is a fire safety issue that needs to be addressed, especially as he

is a high school student growing into independence. It was actually Jacob who first inspired the Rotarians to make specific fundraising efforts for particular families. The club usually fundraises and then donates to causes like Polio Plus, which provides vaccinations for children in countries with low immunization rates, Roxbury Day Care, and Social Services. When they heard that Jacob was spending a lot of his summer going door-to-door with his brother Zachery and their friend Julia Kovacs, to raise money to help a local women who was suffering from a brain tumor, they were duly impressed. They were also interested in helping to meet the Kohner family needs. “We were in awe that this continued on page 8

Acorn Hall Exhibit Pays Tribute To Morris County WWI Contributions By: J.L. Shively new exhibit featured throughout Acorn Hall opened on Sun., Feb. 19 in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the United States entry into World War I which took place on April 6, 1917. The exhibit is entitled “1917: World War, Women’s Rights, and Weaponry Sciences,” and will be on display at the Morris County Historical Society’s Headquarters, the historic Acorn Hall until June. “We wanted to incorporate as many aspects of what was going on in 1917 as possible,” said Nicole Rizzuto, curator of Exhibits and Research with MCHS. There was much more going on than just the war

A

in that year. “The year was the impetus of decision,” Rizzuto states, while elaborating on the fact that U.S. entrance into the war sparked many other movements which had already been smoldering. The inspiration behind the exhibit therefore is not only the war but focuses on local women’s rights movements and Morris County contributions to weaponry sciences which helped aide the U.S. in strategic movements of the war. According to a press release “the exhibit honors the men and women who gave their lives during the war, highlights the culture clash of women seeking recognition as equals and the right to vote, and

features the tremendous advances in weaponry science credited to the work of men and women at Picatinny Arsenal and throughout Morris County.” Alison Turnbull Hopkins is a local suffragette who is featured at Acorn Hall at this time. Hopkins was an outspoken woman imprisoned for picketing at the White House for a woman’s rights. Another woman who is featured at the exhibit for different heroics includes Amabel Scharss Roberts who was the first U.S. nurse to die overseas during WWI. Roberts was a nurse from Madison. Along with other period appropriate clothing the exhibit features artifacts from WWI throughout every

room of Acorn Hall. A WWI uniform is on display including camp ma-

terial on loan from the Butler Museum and Historical Committee. A pop tent is

Acupuncture... What’s The Point? By Kearstin R. Tripi, L.Ac cupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine has become increasingly popular over the past 25 years in the United States. However, many healthcare consumers are still unaware of this relatively painless and effective treatment. Acupuncture is useful in treating conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, stress, migraines, and infertility, to name a few. Some consumers are apprehensive about Acupuncture due to a fear of needles. However, unlike the hypodermic needles that are used to administer shots or take blood, Acupuncture needles are extremely thin. In some cases, the patient might experience a slight prick

A

or tingling sensation at the needle site, but most people report that the procedure is painless and quite relaxing. The efficacy of this ancient medicine speaks for itself and has helped Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine become a bigger part of mainstream healthcare. Every year, more and more physicians are opting to combine Eastern and Western treatments for their patients’ well-being. Research from the National Institute of Health supports this movement showing that Acupuncture is effective for use in pain management, osteoarthritis, postoperative or chemotherapy-related nausea, addiction, stroke rehabilitation, infertility and asthma, among others. The World

Health Organization also lists acupuncture’s efficacy in relieving anxiety, panic disorders and insomnia along with forty-two other medical conditions. Acupuncture is, in fact, a Science based medicine backed by research. Acupuncture is a modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine that originated in Ancient China over 5,000 years ago. The Ancient Chinese discovered that every living being has energy that flows through invisible meridians (energy lines) throughout the body. This energy, known as “Qi” is the motive life force. In healthy individuals the Qi flows smoothly through the channels/ meridians. Imbalance in the flow of Qi results in illness and/or

disease. The same basic principles are used in treating various conditions, today. Acupuncture can be used a sole method of treatment, but also works well as an adjunct therapy. How does Acupuncture Work? Multiple studies have shown that Acupuncture initiates various biological responses. There are several theories to explain how Acupuncture works. In a nutshell, Acupuncture helps the body to do what it was meant to do... heal itself. Some of the most common theories include: - Acupuncture reduces inflammation and relaxes muscles - Acupuncture stimulates

the release of endorphins, which relieve pain - Acupuncture stimulates the release of neurotransmitters (substances that that transmit nerve impulses to the brain) -Acupuncture has a profound effect on the Autonomic Nervous System - Acupuncture stimulates circulation - Acupuncture enhances the body’s immune response - Acupuncture influences the electrical currents of the body Does Acupuncture Hurt? Extremely fine needles are used in the treatment of Acupuncture, making the experience almost painless. Most patients don’t even feel the needles being inserted. The Acupuncture needles used are as fine as

a few hairs on your head. All of my patients find their Acupuncture treatments to be very relaxing. In fact, most people fall asleep during their treatment. What is a typical Acupuncture treatment like? Upon arrival the patient is asked to fill out a detailed health history questionnaire. Then, the acupuncturist will review the health history with the patient and go over the patient’s primary health concern and lifestyle. The acupuncturist will take the patient’s pulses and look at his/her tongue (In Chinese medicine the tongue and pulses are representative of the various organ/meridian systems and help in the diagnostic process). continued on next page

When people heard her speak, they wanted to come alongside and help the family raise the money needed to make life better for Levi. The Spencer family is currently having renovations done to their home to

make it accessible for Levi. Greenberg, who practices estate planning, special needs planning, estate ligation, and estate administration, is proud to be part of the Roxbury community.

The Rotary Club of Roxbury will be holding its Annual Raffle on Thurs., May 25 at 6 p.m. at the Asian Diner in Ledgwood. To purchase tickets, Greenberg can be reached at 973- 252-1850.

The number of Acupuncture treatments needed is based on the severity and chronicity of the condition. However, most patients experience relief after the very first treatment. What kind of needles are used? Tiny filiform needles are used for Acupuncture treatment. All of the needles are disposable, pre-sterilized and pre-packaged. After each treatment, the needles are thrown away

and new needles are used every time. Are there any side effects of Acupuncture treatment? Acupuncture is a safe treatment option, offering little to no side effects, making it an ideal alternative to more invasive procedures. Most people do not experience any ill side effects from Acupuncture. Occasionally, minor bruising can occur at the needle site.

Acupuncture...

cont. from previous page After the interview, the practitioner will come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient. Then, the needles will be inserted into various acupuncture points. The patient may feel a heaviness or tingling sensation around the needle insertion site. The needles are typically retained for 20-30 minutes. How many Acupuncture treatments are needed?

WWI Contributions... continued from page 6 collection. The idea behind the exhibit with a mixture of war artifacts intermixed with everyday items is meant to show “how different things affected different aspects of people’s lives,” states Riz-

zuto. To showcase Morris County’s contribution to the war effort when it came to weaponry Acorn Hall has dedicated space to Hudson Maxim, who worked on smokeless gunpowder and

other technology advances the country needed to win WWI. There is also a photo of Dr. Guy Otis Brewster, whose Brewster-Heller Armor was a first attempt at making bullet proof vests.

Children Working To Conquer Cancer At Eisenhower Middle School

E

isenhower Middle School is working to help conquer cancer with upcoming events. The school would like to invite the community to support the efforts of their students in assisting the families that are going through treatment at Morristown Children’s Oncology Unit by holding a toy drive over the next month for Goryeb Children’s Oncology Unit’s Treasure box. The Treasure box is a place a child goes to after receiving spinal taps, radiation, chemotherapy, and/ or blood work. This special place gives the child a

place to forget about their difficult journey and focus on having fun with a simple toy. If interested in participating in the community event, drop off toys/check donations to Eisenhower Middle School. Check donations can be written out to Valerie Center Treasure Chest Fund and dropped off at EMS. Kelly Blanchette from Morristown Memorial Hospital was kind enough to come to EMS to present to the students and staff on Feb. 2 and to kick off this community service event. “Blanchette focused on all the wonderful things

Goryeb Hospital does for the children in cancer treatment,” said Heather Roddy, co-advisor of the EMS Character Education Committee. The toy drive at EMS was developed by Isabella Reilly in Roddy’s seventh-grade Civics class. “Isabella is a cancer survivor who has lead by example by donating her birthday gifts to the unit in the past as well as creating this special program. Isabella will give back the warmth and kindness to other children that she received herself as a young child.” Reilly showed her

strength and maturity in her presentation to her peers when she shared her story of surviving cancer as well as the motivation to bring this project to fruition. She spoke side-by-side with her mother who shared the parent’s perspective of dealing with the treatment of cancer with such a young child. “Isabella’s parents were there to support her during her presentation,” explained Roddy. Roddy went on to say, “EMS students are holding a dance to honor the unit. The PTO and Character Education Committee teamed up to bring the event to EMS. DJ Chris D’Amico will be donating his time

the night of the event. This month the school will be working to make a positive impact towards the efforts of the Goryeb Center to create a positive light for children dealing with this challenging situation.”

Affordable Housing Comes To Succasunna With Condo Units By Henry M. Holden andolph-based Morris Habitat for Humanity plans to build 12 condo-style units in two buildings, each having six units. According to Blair Bravo, Morris Habitat for Humanity’s chief executive officer, they will be actively marketed. “We must comply with the Fair Housing Act. That means we will advertise in the four-county area for this project,” said Bravo. With a tract of land donated by the township, plans are moving ahead to construct the new condo units on Main Street, in Succasunna, the site of the township’s former public works garage. The land has been cleaned and recent soil samples show no contam-

R

inants. The tract is about one-and-a-half acres. Bravo said the home ownership program focuses on the elderly and veterans first, but said any low-income family can apply. “We partner with the families and with the municipalities to comply the town’s affordable housing obligation,” she said. Roxbury families, who are now renting homes at a high monthly rate, will be able to apply for home ownership. “We will hold several orientation meetings for interested persons to learn more about the program and the requirements,” said Bravo. “We will then hand out applications.” Habitat will vet the pro-

spective homeowners. “The people are vetted for income eligibility, for mortgage readiness, the ability to do sweat equity, and need, meaning that they are paying more than 30 percent of their income in rent, or are living in substandard conditions, such as doubling up with others,” said Bravo. They must be ‘mortgage ready.’ “We (Habitat) hold the mortgage loan. We look at the mortgage application perhaps with a more understanding eye, differently than a bank, but nevertheless, we still have to comply with The Affordable Housing rules and regulations. “’Mortgage ready’ means that their credit scores must be no lower than

600 and that they have a decent debt to income ratio. In other words, they don't have a lot of debt. They are willing to pay a mortgage, and they're willing to go through homeownership education to learn about the responsibilities of homeownership. Their income would fall between $30,000 and $72,000 a year adjusted for household size. A four-person family, if their income is $72,000 a year, they may qualify for a two-bedroom unit.” Every application is assigned a number, and those numbers correspond to a bingo ball. The ball is put in a bingo machine and then applicants are selected through this lottery selection. “The homes will sell for

between $125,000 for a two bedroom and $150,000 for the three-bedroom unit,” said Bravo. The state gives us these parameters. It cost between $150,000 and $175,000 per unit to build

these homes. “We're not getting $125,000 at the closing, we're getting instead about $500 in monthly payments,” said Bravo. “Our mortgage continued on next page

Condo Units... cont. from previous page is a zero interest, so they're saving on that with a 30year fixed mortgage. “The town gives us $600,000 out of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund. These are not taxpayer dollars, but come in through developers who were assessed a fee on their development project. The total cost is about $1,600,000 which is why we do fundraising, sponsorships, and donation of materials, and services, to make up the difference.” Sweat equity is really the keystone of the habitat program. “It's volunteer labor that the homeowner will do in lieu of a down payment,” Bravo said. The family will put in be-

tween 300 and 400 hours of sweat equity building the home, and the homes of others. They will volunteer for eight hours, once a week, for about year. “This is a lot of time, so this is a program that's not for the weak-hearted,” said Bravo. “The people we approve are really motivated to get their lives in shape. These are folks who are already working hard in our community and want to build some equity in the community. “The homeowner must have about $1,000 to put down plus the closing costs which may come to about $3,000,” said Bravo. “We try to keep them on the low side by getting low-cost attorney fees and so forth. People don't realize but we

put an affordable deed restriction on the mortgage. If there is a second buyer down the road, they must go to a regular bank for their mortgage. There's no windfall, and there's no handout here. We sell the homes to the folks, and they pay the property taxes and their utility bills. They also work to build the homes. These people are very enthusiastic about jumping up to the next level in society.” These are homes priced like starter homes. “This is an opportunity for these homeowners to become a deeper part of the community,” she continued. “We will be going before the Roxbury Planning Board in March. Our goal is to break ground this summer. The homeowner se-

lection process should start sometime in May, and it's about a three-month process. Our goal is to have at

least one building framed by the end of the year.” Morris Habitat has been in business 32 years and has

built 79 homes in the Morris County, and surrounding area, and has never had a mortgage foreclosure.

Franklin Elementary Receives Special Readers For Read Across America

F

ranklin Elementary School was a bustling place last week for Read Across America. Community and district members came together to make this a memorable week for the students. Theresa McNemar, Reading specialist at the school sent out invitations for readers to come over to the school and read a book or two to the students. The guests accepting invitations this year were Town Councilman Mark Crowley and Bob DeFillippo, Roxbury Chief of Police Marc Palanchi, police and fire department representatives, the Roxbury Women’s Club, as well as district ad-

ministrators. Select students from Lincoln/Roosevelt School and the Roxbury High School Spanish Club members were also some of the honored guest readers! A group of RHS Spanish Club members dedicated their lunchtime on Mon., Feb. 27 to come over and read books in Spanish by Dr. Seuss to the third and fourth graders. Gorman explained how “this has become an annual collaboration between schools because both groups of students enjoy it so much! Franklin students even took the time to write personalized “Thank You” notes to the readers

from RHS. Both schools are looking forward to continuing in this Read Across America tradition!” Throughout the week, students also answered trivia questions and participated in Reading Trains to share their love of reading. Students and families were invited on Thur., March 2 from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. to a reading event to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Among the activities that evening were plant a Truffala Tree, face painting, the reading lounge, a photo booth, making Oobeleck, and drawing the Cat in the Hat.

Over 25 participant entities and community members volunteered their time to share their cultures including each of the district schools, school clubs, scout troops, community organizations, and businesses. Marcia Cordiero, one of

the event co-coordinators and foreign language teacher at Eisenhower Middle School explained how “our event served as a gigantic stepping stone, bridging the gap between cultures within our community. We have contributed and helped our

community’s awareness of the cultural diversity that surrounds us without us even knowing it.” “Our favorite part of our event was to have all become one,” shared Cordiero.

ustainable Jersey for Schools and the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) announced that Nixon Elementary School in Roxbury Township has been awarded a Sustainable Jersey for Schools capacity-building grant. The $2,000 grant is intended to assist the school green team as they lead and

coordinate sustainability activities. Nixon’s grant submission focused on the topic of Rethinking Recycling. The school is to begin a recycling initiative to bring a consistent and effective recycling program to the school and provide education on the topic. Student ownership over

learning and action will make the students the ambassadors of this initiative and in turn of the earth that they will inherit. Principal Danielle Lynch upon receiving the grant said, “We are honored to receive this grant and look forward to utilizing the funds to launch continued on page 29

Morris Freeholders Honor Outstanding Roxbury Eagle Scout

College Decisions?

T

he Morris County Board of Freeholders last month honored an Eagle Scout from the Landing section of Roxbury for an ambitious scout project that assisted a local military veterans’ organization, in a project that required hundreds of hours of volunteer efforts by the scout and his volunteer project team. The freeholders presented a county certificate of achievement to Eagle Scout Brian Day, 18, of Scout Troop 188 in Roxbury. Day achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on June 13, 2016 and received his badge at a Court of Honor on Jan. 14. Day, a senior at Roxbury High School, was joined by his parents, Scott Sr., who is his assistant scoutmaster, and Pippa, plus brother and sister Scott Jr. and Amy at the ceremony which was held at the Board of Freeholders’ Feb. 22 meeting in Morristown. The freeholders praised the youth for completing

the service project that helped earned him the Eagle Scout designation, attained by just a few percent of Boy Scouts nationwide. “It is an absolute privilege to celebrate the positive efforts of this young man who took it upon himself to make a difference in his community,’’ said Freeholder Director Doug Cabana. “He, obviously, is a future leader of our county and state, and we are proud to salute him tonight.’’ Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, who lives in Roxbury, said “The project Brian and his team have done is impressive and they further exemplifies the merits of the young men and women in Morris County who are involved in scout-

ing.’’ For his Eagle Scout project, Day rebuilt the retaining wall at VFW Post 2833 in Kenvil. The labor-intensive project required replacing the railroad tie wall with stone blocks. With plenty of volunteer labor, it still took Day and his team four weeks and more than 200 hours of work to complete. Day’s involvement in scouting, which started as a Tiger Cub, has been a family affair. His father and brother are both part of Troop 188. His dad, Scott Sr., is an assistant Scoutmaster, and his brother, Scott Jr., also is an Eagle Scout with Troop 188.

Sustainability Grant... continued from page 27

our rethinking recycling initiative. As I reflect upon this grant and the important work that our school community engages in, I am reminded of a quote that guides us; “Be the Change. May your words teach and your actions teach.” The Sustainable Jersey for School funds will enable us to create opportunities for our students to make these words come alive in relation to sustainability and its importance to today, tomorrow and always, and for that, we are extremely grateful.” Staff training for this new initiative has begun in collaboration with Morris

County Recycling Specialists. “We plan to spend the next month preparing to launch the effort with our school community on March 13th,” shared Lynch. Loretta Radulic, Roxbury Superintendent of Schools is proud of the work her administrative team and staff have accomplished so far in achieving sustainability for the district. “Nixon School and Mrs. Lynch have been at the forefront of this district-wide initiative. The success of this grant not only raises awareness of the need to educate future

generations but teaches us all that we must work together towards this end goal.” With this contribution, NJEA has provided $500,000 to support a sustainable future for children across the state through the Sustainable Jersey for Schools program. Proposals were judged by an independent Blue Ribbon Selection Committee. The Sustainable Jersey for Schools grants are intended to help school districts and schools make progress toward a sustainable future in general, and specifically toward Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification.
