Jersey Mike’s Giving Campaign Benefits Make A Wish Foundation Of NJ

Passionate about giving back to its communities and charities, Jersey Mike’s Subs Sandwich Shops sponsored its nationwide eighth annual Month of Giving in March, benefitting the Make- A- Wish Foundation of New Jersey. Now celebrating its 35th year, this organization seeks to grant the wishes of critically ill children: wishes that can inspire, create optimism, give strength and transform lives, one at a time. During this event, each Jersey Mike’s store, with 63 N.J. locations, partnered with a local charity of its choice and solicited donations to them. Punctuating it, Jersey Mike’s celebrated its Day of Giving on March 28 where 100
percent of all of its proceeds went directly to the Make- A-Wish Foundation. Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving is held annually on the last Wednesday of March and has raised more than $20 million dollars for various local charities, since 2010. difference in the life of someone else. “Giving and making a difference in someone’s life has been Jersey Mike’s Mission from the beginning,” says Caroline Jones, senior vice president, Jersey Mike’s Franchise System, Inc. She describes how her father, founder of the company, Peter Cancro believed in giving back to the community and inspired the rest of Jersey Mike’s to do the same. “Giving is embedded in the culture of Jersey Mike’s, not just on the Day of Giving but every day,” she enthuses. This is the second year that Jersey Mike’s has worked in conjunction with The Make-A -Wish Foundation of N.J. for its Day Of Giving event.
