One of Us: In Conversation with
Åsne Seierstad Broadcasting Industry Day If you write for TV, film or radio, don’t miss the chance to hear from industry experts in a day of talks, panel discussions and an invaluable ‘meet the industry’ session. The keynote this year will be given by Allan Cubitt, creator and writer of the BBC’s hit drama, The Fall, and the line up includes writer and director Tony McHale, BBC producer Kate Hall, Karen Rose (Sweet Talk productions) agent Jean Kitson and some one-to-one sessions if you could benefit from some professional advice. The event also includes a delicious networking lunch! SATURDAY 28 FEBRUARY 10.00am–4.30pm £50 including lunch Lighthouse, Brighton
In July 2011 Anders Breivik killed 77 of his fellow Norwegians in a terrorist atrocity that shocked the world. The new book from award-winning journalist and bestselling author of The Bookseller of Kabul is a gripping depiction of this terrible massacre and a study of evil. But it is also a story about community versus isolation, hope versus rejection, love versus bigotry – and a powerful memorial to those who lost their lives. Asne Seierstad will be in conversation with Rachel Cooke, exploring the questions asked in the devastating aftermath of Breivik’s attack on her home country.
THURSDAY 5 MARCH 7.30pm £10 – brightondome.org / 01273 709709 Brighton Dome Studio Theatre
