Gina Duckworth – Editor in Chief

Gina Duckworth, Director of Next Artists. The agency’s roster includes: hairstylists, makeup artists, fashion stylists, prop stylists, manicurists, photographers, film directors, tailors and art directors. In September, 2013 Gina launched the Next Artists Fashion Week Beauty Lounge and “The Lounge” magazine. She divides her time between NYC and Litchfield, CT with her husband, Alexander, and their children Henry, Charlotte, Aubrey, and Sebastian.

Kevin Hertzog – Creative Director

Kevin came to New York City in the 1980’s and was heavily influenced by the vibrant nightlife scene of that time. After graduating from NYU he’s contributed to Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle Decor, Marie Claire and many other shelter and fashion magazines. He also designed sets for Apple, Calvin Klein, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Restoration Hardware, Ikea and Target. Recently, Kevin has begun acting as a photo art director. Under Kevin’s creative direction, he completed the book, The Comfortable Home, of the furniture company Mitchell Gold Bob Williams.

Ezra Patchett – Photographer

Ezra Patchett originally hails from Australia where he started his career documenting the surf culture of the Gold Coast. He spent the next 10 years living in London and shooting for Fashion and editorial clients across Europe. Ezra recently made the move across the pond to the United States and has since seen great success shooting for clients such as Tory Burch and Theory. He currently splits his time between London and New York, and in his free time is an avid Film buff and soup maker.

Gardnier and Keller – Photographers

The still life photography team of Gardiner and Keller developed out of a friendship that began in art school. They now run their own 2,500 square foot studio in midtown Manhattan, shooting and retouching together as a team or individually. They count The Metropolitan Museum and Cole Haan to be among their many clients.

Tim Geaney – Photographer

Tim received his first photography lesson from his brother Dennis at the age of 14. He continued to study photography and filmmaking with many fine artists including Don Huntsman, Robert Heineken, Edmund Teske, Jerry Burchfield, Paul Capinagro, Al Weber, and Ruth Bernhard. Tim began exhibiting his work in Los Angeles in 1975. It was there that Tim had the opportunity to assist up and coming photographer Bruce Weber. Bruce’s natural approach to film and photography inspired Tim’s move to NYC in 1979. Tim has firmly established himself as a recognizable name in the forefront of commercial photography, having shot for virtually everyone including Victoria’s Secret, Nautica, J.Crew, Spiegel, Krizia, Nordstroms, Burdines, Neiman Marcus, Timberland, Talbots, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Polo Ralph Lauren.

Jada Fitzgerald – Stylist

Jada originally studied fashion design and styling at the prestigious Whitehouse School in Sydney before taking up a role at Harpers Bazaar and then moving onto New Woman, B magazine, and finally her last full-time role to date as Fashion Editor on the highly successful Shop Til You Drop Magazine. Since leaving Shop Til You Drop, Jada has had a very successful and lucrative freelance career working for such titles as Vogue Australia, Australian Woman’s Weekly and Grazia among many others. She has also styled campaigns for clients such as Westfield shopping centres, Bonds, Nokia, L’Oreal, Olay, Qantas Airlines, Elle Macpherson Intimates, Bendon Lingerie and Kotex. Jada started out her career in Sydney and has gone on to work in London, Los Angeles and is now based in New York.

Savion James-Marcelle – Art Director

At 19 years old, Savion received his bachelors degree in Digital Arts & Design from Full Sail University. Being one of the three chosen to present his academic work at Full Sail’s Graduate Showcase, a major accomplishment for any Full Sail student graduating from the DAD program, came with another achievement as Full Sail announced Savion to be its June 28th 2013 valedictorian of the DAD graduating class. Once an intern, turned employee, he now works for Next Model Management dealing with some of the company’s in house design work. Outside of Next Model Management, Savion has been working on his personal branding Savi Designs, along with taking on a few freelance projects.

This Season Our Beauty Lounge Partners with Malynda Vigliotti, Founder Of Boom Boom Brow Bar! For the first time our guests will be treated to expert eyebrow primping, plucking and tinting this season.

I know you were a model agent in a previous life. Why did you decide to change careers and open the Boom Boom? Tell us about that transition. “Oh boy! I was a model agent and I worked at American Models, Metropolitan Models and Elite Model Management was my last stop on the bus! I’ve always been obsessed with beauty and mainly worked on catalog and beauty campaigns. I honestly just decided I needed a break and took a year off to do volunteer programs around the world. I decided then that I wanted to open my own biz and went to beauty school in my thirties. Let’s just say that it 30

was interesting (giggle). It was soon after that I decided to open Boom Boom Brow Bar. It all kind of rolled once I came up with the name - it just clicked, but it certainly wasn’t easy.”

gets the hair growth all on the same schedule, your brows become so much more manageable.

What is the single best piece of advice you can give women when it comes to their creating and maintaining great brows?

I’m always working on something but right now my baby is selling Brow Job. So many people tried to pull a Kate Moss back in the day and their brows are still jacked up. Everyone wants big, bold, Boom Boom brows now. Brow Job helps them grow in so we can get a new shape. Boom Boom Brow Bar also tints brows to make them look fuller - a brow tint and wax is just $44 bucks. The bigger, the better baby!!!!

Don’t touch them! It’s really hard to have perspective when you’re so close to the mirror. Brows are all about symmetry and proportion, so leave it to a professional. Find someone you can love and trust and have them maintain once a month. Also not touching them

Do you have any plans for expansion?

How To Get Perfect Beachy Hair!

“Apply mousse (I like Catwalk Curlesque by Tigi) to towel dried or dry hair. Don’t forget the roots! Blow dry hair at roots in opposite direction, to get volume. Once dry, spritz hair with a salt spray (Catwalk Salt Spray by Tigi) and scrunch. Spray a little hairspray for added hold. (Sebastian Re-Shaper is pliable and doesn’t leave hard residue.) Add random curls throughout by wrapping hair around a wand. Leave the ends straight for texture. Comb out curls with your fingers and give one last scrunch!” - By: Next Hairstylist; Kristi Wilczopolski Next Model: Amanda Laine

Hey Cookie!

We always knew Next Direct model Julia Joseph was sweet, but with the launch of her very own cookie line, it’s official. How did you get started baking?

Where do you bake?

Can we find you online?

“In Louisiana where I grew up, there is a cultural tradition of rich and heartwarming food, and as a result I have always had an enormous sweet tooth. A couple of years ago, I began experimenting with baking and decorating my baked goods. Initially I would make unique designs for holidays and friends’ birthdays, and even sporting events. Then people starting requesting special designs for certain occasions and I started taking special orders.”

“I bake in my kitchen at home. I recently moved apartments and one of the priorities that I looked for in my new place was a big kitchen with a big oven. Fortunately I found the perfect place and I even have a big island counter for decorating.”
