JobSummary:
ThePeerDeliveryProgramCoordinatorplaysapivotalroleinadvancingthereachandimpact ofNEXTDistro'sharmreductionefforts.Thispositionprimarilyinvolvesspearheadingthe expansionandmanagementofthePeerDeliveryProgramacrossNewYorkstateandensuring thatunderservedpopulationssuchasTGNCPWUD,blackandbrowncommunities,andsex workershaveaccesstovitalsaferusesuppliesthroughefficientandwell-coordinated distributionprocesses.TheCoordinatorwillcollaboratecloselywiththeDirectorofImpact, affiliates,andpartnerstostrengthenoursecondarydistributionprogramandsupportindividuals inareaslackingtraditionalin-personservices.
Responsibilities:
● Providetrainingandongoingsupporttopeerdeliveryagents,empoweringthemto effectivelydistributeharmreductionsuppliesandresourcesinunderservedcommunities.
● Assistinorderingandorganizingthedistributionofharmreductionsuppliestopeer deliveryagentsandsecondarydistributors,ensuringtimelyandaccuratedelivery.
● DevelopandexecutestrategiesincollaborationwiththeDirectorofImpacttoexpandthe PeerDeliveryProgramwithinNewYorkState,identifyingpotentialagentsandfostering partnershipswithcommunityorganizations.
● Maintainregularcommunicationwithpeerdeliveryagentsandsecondarydistributors, addressinginquiries,troubleshootingissues,andfosteringasenseofcommunityand support.
● Collaboratewithaffiliates,partners,andotherstakeholderstoenhancetheprogram's reachandeffectiveness,particularlyinareaswithlimitedaccesstotraditionalharm
reductionservices.
● Maintainacomprehensivedatabaseofpeerdeliveryagents,distributionlocations,and programparticipantsthroughoutNewYorkState.
● CollaboratewiththeDirectorofImpacttoensurealignmentofprogramgoals,track progress,andassesstheprogram'simpactonunderservedcommunities.
● Assistindatacollection,analysis,andreportingrelatedtothePeerDeliveryProgram's impactandoutcomes,withafocusonreachingandsupportingmarginalizedpopulations inNewYorkState.
● Contributetothedevelopmentofeducationalmaterials,resources,andguidestosupport peerdeliveryagentsandsecondarydistributionprogramming.
● Stayinformedaboutemergingtrends,challenges,andopportunitiesinharmreductionto informprogramenhancementsandadaptstrategiestomeetevolvingcommunityneeds amongpeoplewhousedrugs
Requirements
● Reliableandtrustworthy,abilitytoeffectivelycommunicateverballyandthroughphone/email
● Experienceintheharmreductionfield,abilitytonetworkandcreateconnectionswithintheharm reductioncommunity
● Previouscontentcreationexperiencerequired,experienceinharmreductionstronglyrecommended
● Spanishlanguageproficiencyaplus
