1979 Hardie Ferodo 1000 Brock’s most crushing victory covered in massive nine-hour double-DVD Bathurst release. With nine wins in the Bathurst endurance classic, there’s no doubting why Peter Brock was – and still is – known as the ‘King of the Mountain’. Paired with Jim Richards, he won the 1979 Bathurst classic by a record six laps in a show of absolute domination by the Holden Dealer Team and its V8-powered A9X Torana. The cameras kept filming during the commercial breaks too, meaning this title includes a range of never-beforeseen material from the ’79 classic. It’s a classic fight between Holden’s horde of Toranas and Ford’s Falcons led by the XC Hardtop of Allan Moffat in a golden era of racing on the Mountain.

Three Of Dick’s Best A trip down memory lane with three of Dick Johnson’s best Australian Touring Car Championship race wins. For the first time, Chevron has dug deep into the Seven Sport archive and released three of the Ford legend’s victorious races from a memorable era of ATCC racing in the 1980s and 1990s. The same weekend saw the debut of a partnership with John Bowe that would last an incredible 11 years. Next we fast-forward to Round 2 of 1990 at Symmons Plains in Tasmania as Johnson tackled old adversary Peter Brock and a horde of fellow Sierra drivers including Bowe, Glenn Seton and Colin Bond. To round out, we move into the five-litre V8 era with Johnson’s popular win on home soil in Race 1 at Lakeside in 1994. Great Grand Finals

available nov ‘14

Memories of the now-defunct Oran Park Raceway in Sydney will come flooding back for race fans from an era where the Narellan circuit served as the traditional ATCC grand final venue from 1985 to 1998. This release begins with the final round of the 1987 ATCC as a baby-faced Glenn Seton and his Nissan Skyline challenged the BMW M3 of expat Kiwi Jim Richards in a winner-take-all encounter. Richards again features in the second race – the 1990 ATCC decider – as his then-new Nissan GT-R ‘Godzilla’ was challenged for the crown by the turbo Ford Sierras of Peter Brock, Dick Johnson and Colin Bond. And to round things out, both races from the final round of 1995 are included as John Bowe sealed his first – and only – ATCC crown driving a Shell Ford for Johnson with Brock and Seton his title-challenging adversaries. Group A Touring Car Classics #2

available 4 ‘1 october

We start with the opening round of the 1985 ATCC at Winton – the very first held to international Group A rules in Australia. Dominated by the BMW of eventual champion Jim Richards, this round gave the first look to the new world of touring car racing in this country as well as introduced Seven Sport as ATCC broadcasters. The second race featured is Round 3 from 1989 at Lakeside in Queensland, where a fiery, multi-car accident saw the race stopped and restarted. It’s a classic with hometown hero Dick Johnson battling Peter Brock in turbo Sierras as chaos unfolded around them. The third ATCC round is the two-race opening round from the defunct Amaroo Park in Sydney as Brock’s V8 Mobil Commodore caused an upset against the turbo Sierras and Nissan GT-Rs in the last year of Group A rules in Australia. As an extra special bonus we’ve also included the Calder Park round of the 1987 World Touring Car Championship in full. Cat No. BHE5534

A special feature documentary which explores the themes of Peter Brock’s life between the years of 1984-1987. In late 1986 Peter Brock was on top of the world. The three time winner of the Australian touring car title, “Peter Perfect”, as he was known by his legion of fans, was also the 8 time winner of the Bathurst 1000 endurance race. His poster was stuck on virtually every 15 year olds bedroom wall in the country. Yet literally overnight his self-made empire had crumbled. His controversial endorsement of the ill-fated ‘Energy Polarizer' had marginalized his reputation, and his gung-ho push to export his Brock Director car using an un-tested rear end suspension angered his masters at Holden who withdrew their support and placed a cloud over his very future in this elite sport. “King of the Mountain”, will explore this remarkable story of a phoenix rising from the ashes. A once great, but now a fallen man, rising to be a champion again, of the most controversial, most talked about motor race in Australian history. The 1987 James Hardie Bathurst 1000. Cat No. BHE5961
