MADDISON I went to the library and leaned on the table where you put your books back. The table was really rickety and you weren’t supposed to lean on it, but I did anyway. Suddenly, the table fell over and on top of me, it made a huge bang and lots of people came over to ask if I was okay. When I left the library they nailed the table to the wall so it wouldn’t fall on anyone else. OMG! So embarrassing!

MILA Last school holidays my dad and I were at the shopping centre and I needed to go to the toilet, but my overprotective dad wouldn’t let me go to the girls’ toilets alone. So I had to go to the boys’ toilets and everyone stared at me. It was even worse because a boy from my class was there and he told everyone at school! They still laugh at me, including my crush!
team angel ROSIE One day I was swimming in the pool with my brother and his two school friends and I wanted to show everyone how I could do a bomb dive. I did a cool dive, but when I was underwater I couldn’t feel my top and realised it had come off! I tried really hard to find it before any of the boys saw and was feeling so embarrassed, but luckily I found it just in time.
CHARLOTTE My most embarrassing moment was this one time at training, when my crush was there. I was daydreaming and accidentally ran into a tree. To make things even worse everyone saw my fairy undies! It was just so embarrassing!
ISABEL My most embarrassing moment was when I went to China with my mum, big sister and little brother. We went to a mall and my mum was asking someone to tell her where the restaurants were, but they didn’t speak English. I told my mum that I could help her because I can speak Chinese but she said that she could do it and she made up her own Chinese words. Everyone heard her and started staring at us and laughing so hard, it was so embarrassing!
RUTH My most embarrassing moment was when I accidentally farted really loud at school and everyone laughed at me! To make it worse, when we had to go to another classroom the floor was super wet and I slipped on the ground and people were laughing their heads off. My friends then told most people at school all about it! My face was cherry red!

ABBIE I was at my friend’s pool party and had forgotten my togs. My friend had no spares, so I had to wear her older sister’s togs. One of the girls at the party was telling everyone how I could do back flips in the pool and everyone wanted me to do one, so I did. But the togs were so big that when I was in mid-air they came flying off and everyone saw my bottom! So embarro!

JULIA My mum ordered some yummy cupcakes for work and I went to get them, but I dropped them! I quickly cleaned it all up and went inside and didn’t tell mum. She was so upset when she saw them. She had to go and get more cakes. Sorry mum, I feel so bad.
JAYDE Once I was playing hide and seek with my friends and hid in my sister’s room after telling them that they couldn’t hide in the bedrooms. They still hadn’t found me, so I started putting on my sister’s makeup without a mirror. When they came in, they frightened me; I got bumped and got the makeup on my sister’s pillow. I just turned the pillow over and she still doesn’t know it was me, but one day I will tell her.

RAD RESCUER
Meg Blair and her family rescue abandoned dogs and find them new homes. Can you tell us a about Farmdogz Rescue? My family and I run Farmdogz Rescue. It is a rescue centre for working dog breeds, such as border collies and kelpies. We rescue them from pounds and shelters from all around Australia, rehabilitate them, and find them new homes. What do you do? Just about everything! I travel with my stepmum, Giorgie, to pick up dogs from country pounds and shelters. I give the sick dogs lots of love when they need it, and also make sure they get a healthy diet and lots of exercise. I also start their basic training, help take the dogs to the vet, and help fundraise with BBQs and other events. What do you love most about being involved in Farmdogz Rescue? Knowing that I have helped save the life of a homeless dog, and finding a fabulous new homes for dogs that didn’t have much of a chance.

team angel You are about to start the Farmdogz Youth Ambassadors Scheme, what is that? The Farmdogz Youth Ambassadors Scheme is something I’m working on to help young people get involved in dog rescue. Lots of kids can’t foster or adopt a dog, but they can help in many other ways. We will be launching our own Farmdogz Rescue YouTube channel that will help spread the word about Farmdogz Rescue. Why do you think more people should think about rescuing dogs? Because there are so many dogs stuck in pounds and shelters all around Australia, and they are all looking for a family to love. What do your friends think of all the hard work you do? They think it’s really cool and get jealous sometimes because I have lots of dogs around all the time. Do you have a favourite story about a dog you met or cared for? We rescued Jessie (a kelpie) 18 months ago from a farmer who was about to put her down. She slowly won our hearts with her constant kisses and cuddles. She even won over my dad – and he’s a hard nut to crack! Turns out, she is an amazing runner and high jumper, and has won many competitions since we adopted her! What advice would you have for anyone considering adopting a pet? There are amazing rescue dogs out there that need homes. Always research the type of dog you think you want, so you can make sure that you can give it exactly what it needs.

TAYLOR HENDERSON Your song “Borrow My Heart” went to number one, what’s that like? To have a number one hit single, I can’t be happier! It’s the perfect way to leave the show. What was your favourite moment on X Factor ? The best moment was going to Los Angeles. I had never been out of Australia and going with the boys was just the best. Are you writing your own music at the moment? Yes, and I have already sent a few songs to Sony and they love them. I can’t wait to release more of my music. Do you have any hidden talents? I’m really good at trampolining. I love doing flips and as a kid I would play for hours on my trampoline. I once put two next to each other and tried to jump as far as I could, but now that I think about it, it was pretty stupid so I don’t recommend doing the same. What’s been you’re most embarrassing moment? I was about to perform on stage, it was my first gig after X Factor, and I plugged the guitar in and there was this loud noise. The guitar didn’t work, so I had to get my dad up on stage and played his guitar. What’s your advice for kids who want a career in music? You’ve to be passionate about it. I suggest auditioning for shows like the X Factor, even if you don’t make it, they can give you great advice. Keep trying and be who you are, that will get you a long way.
