Varna’s Modern Library in addition to the usual library will be a cultural and social center for all types and ages of visitors.
The basic concept is a stack of books, moved and separated from each other to create green terraces at different levels and for the integration with the environment. The height of the "books" corresponds to the module that derived from a neighboring municipal building.
The landscape of the territory created by the preservation of the existing trees on the axis of the boulevard. To increase the area of gardening, we used green roofs and terraces, which also improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
The inner space of the library is connected to a unified structure with main book storage and central atrium. We compact storage in the middle of the building - it ensures the absence of light and heat.
On the facades we use facade system made of perforated metal in the form of words which reflect the functions occurring in the library.
