Niskayuna Fire District #1/Grand Boulevard Fire Company

Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 is protected by a combination of dedicated career and volunteer firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians. The district's 15 career firefighter/paramedics and 30 volunteer firefighters and EMT's work side by side 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to protect the citizens of Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 and those who work and travel through the community. Geographically, Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 covers approximately 10 square miles centered on Balltown Road and running a 2.5 mile wide path from Village road to the Rexford Bridge. The district is bordered by the City of Schenectady to the west, Saratoga County to the north and neighboring fire districts to the east and south. Total resident population is in excess of 12,000 with an estimated weekday population of near 20,000.
