Dear Wrangler NFR Fans, On behalf of Las Vegas Events and the PRCA, it is my pleasure to again welcome you to Las Vegas for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. The success of the event is a testament to your continued support and dedication to the world’s richest and most prestigious rodeo. For rodeo fans, contestants and those within the industry, our goal is to show you “Pure Rodeo/Pure Vegas.” Each year we strive to provide you with the ultimate NFR Experience during your stay in Las Vegas. This year is no different. Over the years, the NFR Experience has extended throughout the city. Attendees can enjoy an immersive, ten-day, 24/7 Western lifestyle extravaganza taking place up and down the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown. This experience will continue to grow each year, reinforced by our hotel partners and sponsors. In this guide, you will find comprehensive schedules for Wrangler NFR 9-5, Wrangler NFR After Dark and Entertainment Around Town. You will also find maps of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown to assist you in getting around and discovering what has become known as the NFR Experience. When you attend the Wrangler NFR at the Thomas & Mack Center, we invite you to check out the ProRodeo Zone, live music in Cowboy Corral and the return of The ‘Shoe, a fully-themed Western hospitality and interactive space that also features a Strip-view pavilion and an entry from the northwest end of the arena. During the day, we also invite you to explore Cowboy Christmas, located inside the South Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to the ultimate shopping experience, the area also includes live entertainment, autograph sessions, a rodeo arena, saloon, interactive booths, rodeo exhibits, the NFR Social Lounge and more. At Cowboy Christmas, It’s All Here! In addition, the Junior NFR presented by YETI will be held inside the Wrangler Rodeo Arena at Cowboy Christmas and will run for ten consecutive days. Youth contestants will compete for titles in eight events, including bull riding, team roping, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, breakaway, saddle bronc riding and bareback riding. While the greatest rodeo competitors in the world chase the coveted gold buckle, we invite you to share in the Western heritage and experience everything that Las Vegas and the Wrangler NFR has to offer.

THE WRANGLER NFR

Since 1985, the world’s best rodeo contestants have traveled to Las Vegas to compete for fame, riches and gold buckles. For 10 days, the Wrangler NFR takes over the “Entertainment Capital of the World” as the city welcomes the contestants, their families, friends and fans to Las Vegas. The Thomas & Mack Center lights up each night as more than 17,000 enthusiastic rodeo fans cheer on their idols in the richest and most prestigious rodeo in the world. Held in December each year, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is a legendary rodeo experience that grows with each passing year. This Dec. 6-15, the most elite athletes in rodeo will be on display on the sport’s biggest stage. Who will earn the coveted Gold Buckle this year?

THE WRANGLER NFR 9 - 5 The rodeo might only take place at night, but there are plenty of things for rodeo fans to do in Las Vegas during the day. Dozens of rodeo-related events are held throughout the city daily, including Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Cowboy Marketplace Gift Show at Mandalay Bay and the wildly popular “Outside the Barrel” show hosted by Flint Rasmussen at Rodeo Live presented by RODEOHOUSTON®. Other events include the Miss Rodeo America Pageant competitions at a new location - Tropicana, autograph sessions with the 2018 Wrangler NFR contestants, the 32nd Annual Spurs and Spikes Golf Tournament to benefit the ProRodeo Hall of Fame on December 15, Benny Binion’s World Famous Wrangler NFR Bucking Horse & Bull Sale at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center Dec. 6 and the Bob Tallman Wrangler NFR Charity Bowling Tournament at the Gold Coast on Dec. 8. THINGS TO KNOW From December 6-15, Cowboy Christmas is back again and better than ever! This year’s show features more exhibitors and merchandise, guaranteed to keep even the most avid shoppers entertained. Held inside the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Cowboy Christmas occupies approximately 450,000 square feet of show floor and features more than 350 exhibitors. Cowboy Christmas is always free and open to the public, with hours of operation set at 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. So much rodeo action to see in one place! In addition to the Junior NFR presented by YETI, the Wrangler Rodeo Arena will host the Flag Girl Competition and the annual Exceptional Rodeo presented by NV Energy.

For the third consecutive year, the Junior NFR presented by YETI will be held in Las Vegas. There will be qualifiers and finals in eight events (with various age groups per event): bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, breakaway, team roping, tie-down roping and barrel racing. General admission to the qualifiers is free, while the rough stock finals on December 10 and timed-event finals on December 15 will be $10 for general admission. Access to the Priefert Platform will be $20 all ten days of competition.

RFD-TV’s Western Sports Roundup In 2018, the RFD-TV Western Sports Roundup will take place on the Rodeo Live Stage presented by RODEOHOUSTON® inside Cowboy Christmas. As a key programming feature inside RFD-TV’s Cowboy Experience from Las Vegas, Western Sports Roundup will be taped live every morning from 10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Hosted by RFD-TV’s Steve Kenyon, the show will feature different stars of the Wrangler NFR throughout the ten days, as well as provide a full recap of the NFR’s nightly performances and rodeo action.

Take a walk down our Western strip of rodeo. See all eight rodeo exhibits including: Big Country Farm Toys, Calgary Stampede, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Days of ’47, Indian National Finals Rodeo, Pendleton Round-Up, RODEOHOUSTON® and San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Hosted by Maria Prekeges, NFR Extra will feature live interviews from a variety of guests associated with the sport of rodeo. The interviews will be packaged into a series of one-hour podcasts and video features to be used throughout 2019. This unique content will premiere in January following the NFR and run every other week throughout the year. The additional video features captured from the interviews will be utilized in social and digital content as part of our year-long campaign.
