MIFGS 2023: EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NGIV MEMBERS

MIFGS reboot offers exciting opportunities for NGIV members

There have been some exciting developments recently with the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS), which will lead to more opportunities for NGIV members to become involved promoting their businesses, growing their brand, and broadening their customer bases.

NGIV is delighted to announce that leading event management company IMG has joined us as the joint owners of MIFGS*. Having managed the Show for nearly 30 years, IMG has a strong relationship with MIFGS.

For NGIV, we are now working with a global leading partner who is committed to growing MIFGS while celebrating Victoria’s horticulture industry. And that means new and exciting opportunities for our members!

NGIV and our members will have the opportunity to become more actively involved across the whole show and will no longer be limited to the NGIV Precinct. Our activations will receive increased support from IMG, providing an exciting opportunity to truly showcase our industry to the 100,000+ attendees.

The new partnership also provides an opportunity to reimagine the show, delivering new attractions and features and telling new stories to an engaged and captive audience. Whether it’s promoting horticulture as an exciting career choice, celebrating the environmental and wellbeing benefits our industry provides or showcasing exciting industry innovation, this is an opportunity to reboot MIFGS in 2023.

As joint owners, we strongly encourage our members to grasp the unique opportunity to take part in MIFGS, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest horticultural event and our industry’s key promotional outlet.

We will continue to communicate any MIFGS updates and opportunities to our members regularly. If you would like to find out more about getting involved, or you have show activation ideas that would benefit the entire industry, contact MIFGS Chair Michael Warner, NGIV President Simon Gomme or NGIV CEO Craig Taberner.

*In March 2022, former partner the Victorian Farmers Federation decided to discontinue its association with the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.
