I am offering a new vision for a better

based on my 4 cardinal programmes

Dear fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters I am writing to introduce myself to you and to explain why I am seeking your support to represent our community at the National Assembly. I was born on the Island, to the Saro/Aguda families of Clement and Williams of Popo Aguda and Olowogbowo respectively. I may have been born on the Island, but I was made in Surulere, and I would like to serve my people of Surulere. I am a lawyer, with practices in Nigeria and the UK, which I would like to put at the service of serving my community. I have extensive experience working in Nigeria and the UK. As a director of various organisations in the UK, financial, healthcare, education, and infrastructure including Oxleas NHS Hospital Trust, BMI Healthcare, Marina Nominee Limited, and Mellow Bank etc, I want to use my extensive experience and contacts in the UK, to bring new opportunities, and projects to Surulere.
I want to expand my current programmes in Surulere, including SUREhealth, under which over 1600 residents of Surulere have received medical check-up and over 37 have received full medical treatment, by building a fully equipped healthcare centre for the community. I want to extend the SUREmoney programme, under which over 700 businesswomen have received grants and interest free loans to expand their businesses, by extending the loans and grants to all businesses. I want to extend the SUREeducation programme under which I supplied books to over 5,000 children, and whiteboard to over 15 schools by providing school buses and improving the infrastructure of our schools. With the support of my contacts in the UK, I can do more, but with your support, I can do exceptionally more. I present to you my 4-cardinal promises to build a better Surulere and hope that together we can do great things for our community. Yours sincerely

MY 4 CARDINAL PROMISES TO U!
Better flood control
Flash floods have been a regular problem in our community. The government has been unconcerned, and our elected representatives have collectively failed to find a lasting solution to the problem. Finding a lasting solution to the issue of flooding will be a priority for me. With my contacts that I have made as Chairman of the Infrastructure Board of a major organisation in the UK, I have the contacts with people with the technical skills, and resources to solve the problem.
Empowerment 4 all
Building on my SUREmoney and Young Entrepreneur Scheme programmes, I will extend the interest free loans to all businesses. I have a target to empower 500 businesses every year, with loans and grants of up to ₦500,000.00. The only criteria will be that the businesses must create employment for our youths. This initiative will expand businesses in Surulere and reduce youth unemployment. I will also offer free business support and coaching by experienced professionals to reduce business failures.
Education and Infrastructure Improvement
Building on my SUREeducation initiative, I will refurbish schools in the community and provide school buses to take our children to and from school. I will use my connections with schools in the UK to bring teachers and teaching materials from the UK to Surulere under the UK School Twinning Programme. The programme allows schools in the UK to support individual schools in Africa with the aim of raising standard of education in Africa. I will work tirelessly to ensure that as many schools as possible in Surulere benefit from this programme.
New Healthcare Centre
Building on my SUREhealth programme and my extensive contacts in healthcare in the UK, I will build a free state of the art 24 bedded health centre. The health centre will have access to facilities offered by leading UK hospital including visiting doctors from the UK and extensive diagnostic capacity.
