Announcement From Civil Society Organization Working Group On behalf of the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Working Group, we are truly appreciated your involvement in observing and catching the factual happening of the petition submission to the development partners on January 21, 2014, this morning. Despite the fact that the CSO working Group and groups of civilians were clashed during the submission in front of Embassy of United States and Embassy of France and 11 people - civilians and NGO staff - were arrested, we were managed to deliver the petition which have been endorsing by 181 NGOs to five institutions including 1) Embassy of the United States Phnom Penh 2) Embassy of the United Kingdom 3) Embassy of France 4) UNICEF Cambodia and 5) Amnesty International. Additionally, the 11 arrested people were released on the same day in the afternoon. On the word of the CSO Working Group, we would like inform you that we will instigate our mission in submitting the petitions to the Development Partners once again starting from January 23 and continue to January 24, 27 and 28.
