Some of the exclusive properties we have marketed are included in this book. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House, Los Angeles A crowning achievement of Frank Lloyd Wright’s textile-block design, the Ennis House is the largest and boldest execution of this iconic architectural style. Commanding wraparound views of the city of Los Angeles and the ocean, the 6,000-square-foot Mayan-inspired estate was listed at US$4.5 million and sold to a well-known custodian of important architecture. Stanford White Mansion, New York City (following page) The home was designed in the first decade of the 20th century by noted architect Stanford White for Henry Cook, a banker and railroad tycoon who owned the entire blocks of East 78th and 79th Streets between Madison and Fifth Avenues.

Devonshire, Bedford Corners, New York The historic Devonshire estate features a grand 1901 Georgian manor house on 101 acres with peerless recreational amenities, equestrian facilities, collector’s garages, and extensive guest outbuildings. The estate was sold in December 2012 for more than US$21 million, a record sale for Westchester County. The international buyer was introduced to the property by Christie’s International Real Estate through the Bespoke Marketing Program. Somerset, Jupiter Island, Florida (following page) Located on Jupiter Island, this stunning oceanfront estate celebrates its views of the of Atlantic Ocean. Somerset is set within more than 3.7 acres of exquisitely manicured grounds. Listed for sale in June 2012, the estate sold in March 2013 for US$18 million.

Kaiuso, Kyoto, Japan Designed by Ueji, the most famous gardener of Japan’s modern period, this serene garden sanctuary in the historic city of Kyoto is situated on the former site of a renowned Zen temple. Kaiuso was listed for sale at ¥8 billion, widely promoted at Christie’s auction showrooms worldwide, and sold to a major collector of Japanese art and client of the auction house.
