03 VAN DON COMPLEX
Van Don, Vietnam
Resort Complex Multi-brands Area: 51,570 sqm 2019-present Status:Design Development.
Phase : Concept Design. Scope of work: Hotel Architectural Design. Role: Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and models for the project of Hotel Van Don Complex
The project was the first part of the mega complex called Van Don Harbor city of CEO Group Vietnam. This is the first Multi-brands Hotel and Resorts in Vietnam and world wide operated by Accor, including 3 brands of luxurious Hotels: Novotel suites, Ibis Style and Pullman. Located in Bai Tu Long bay, one of the most magnificent place of the North Vietnam Beachas well as the economy area in Van Don, the project claimed to be the first puzzle to be design and build. Inspired by the beauty and mystery landscape on site, the design captivated the essence of nature and represented in an undulating form of architecture. The plans taken images from floating islands of the Bay, modern spaces are sculptural forms designed to inhabit, to take in and complement the view and not to compete with the beauty of nature. The forms are expressions of their function and structure clad with areas of solid and glass to take in the view, slab edges extending to create projecting terraces, raised platforms on columns are positioned to elevate key elements of the design towards the view and create all year-round sheltering undercrofts. 42

The site of the Complex was surrounded by spectacular landscape of series of islands. The question was how to respond to this landscape without competing with its natural beauty and also not to mimicking nature. 44
The design should be a sponge to absorb all the context as well as brief given by client and operator. There are site constraints which are also challenging. However, at the first stage we started with the image of the Hotels. 45

Lower, more noise and impact from surrounding
Higher and Private Community Area
Due to extreme corrasion in Phu Quoc island, the swimming pools could not be built on plane ground, therefore, the facilities complex was lifted up. By doing that, it is not only prevent the Back of house from being corraded , but also reduce noises and provide privacy for guests when they come to the central facility to watch sunset on Ha Long Bay. As a result, a 4.5 meters base become main Back of house , suchas service parking and staff parking, technical roomsfor pool, laundry and housekeeping; when hustling and bustling activities are happening above. This create an unobstructed circulation for guests and service, while guaranteed the supply flow to be freely moved.

05 ECO PARK VILLAS Hanoi, Vietnam Villa Area: 450 sqm 2017 - 2018 Status: In Construction.
Phase : Concept Design. Scope of work: Villa Architectural Design. Role: Architect. Development of architectural drawings and models for the project of Villa 450 ECO park residence . The Villa is located in the heart of the luxury residential complex, among with other types of housing. This 450-square -meter villa took a huge proportion in terms of sale products of the project. Taking the advantage of location, which is far away from the bustling and hustling city center and also a brandname of the projects -“ ECO park” ; the initial idea was to bring the nature outside in and create interactions with nature through series of space; and also maximize view towards the adjacent river while enclosing the entry to provide a sense of home and privacy. The architects aim to create a space for people to retreat when the city is too busy , therefore, the concept of inverted living space was formed. The front of the house is actually the back of house, and the reaching deeper inside is a dynamic living space. Landscape designing also plays an important part in the design, as the main intention is to bring human and nature together. An entry leads the users to a corridor which directly leads to a vast family-gathered space with views to the nature. Upstairs, each of the suites will be having a courtyard view while privacies are also guaranteed. 68

07 PHAN THIET APARTMENT Phan Thiet, Vietnam Serviced Apartment Area : 18,500 sqm 2019 Status : Developing
Phase : Concept Design Scope of work: Concept Design Role: Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and 3D models for the project of Phan Thiet Apartment.
As a part of the Master plan complex in Phan Thiet, Vietnam; the apartment located at the top hill where it can get the best view to Mui Ne Beach. The brief was given requiring 2000 rooms of apartment for sale, shophouses at the base, additional facilities and resources, coming with height and site cover constraints, which is an exciting challenge for the team. The primitive idea was to creat a whole new experience for the client, to form a resort-like living space product, for sale as apartments. The clients can live in the apartment and enjoy fully equipped service for free. However, site constraints are the first object that we have to tackle. Hence there are lots of form studies have been done to test the site. The project is in a developing stage , and was not published to the community, therefore no images were allowed to put in this document. Page 304

09 NEW DRAGON HOTEL
Thanh Hoa , Vietnam Hotel Facade Design 2018-2019 Status : Finished
Phase : Concept Design, Design Development Scope of work: Concept Design, Design Development Role: Project Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and models for the project of New Dragon Hotel. The hotel was originally designed by the other consultantand being built on site, however, we were given the task to redesign the look and feel for the Dragon Hotel. Being inspired by its name and the requirements from clients, “ make something different” from the rest of the hotels in that area. We started from the dragon skin patterns, and the bold red color to represent a strong, young and active spirit of a new generation. Due to the oceanic location of the Hotel, we proposed using galvanized aluminium to prevent oxidation and corrosion as well as emulsion paint to reduce the costs. At the base, dark marble stones were applied to tighten and hold the square form. In terms of the existing conditions, we respecting the previous design by not changing any of the structure or rooms amenity, as well as rooms total count. By adapting the mix ,we created a pattern that follows which together bring a new look for the Dragon Hotel Thanh Hoa.

Phu Quoc, Vietnam Strategic Planning
Clients: Tan A Dai Thanh ;Area: 52 hectares 2019
Phase : Concept Design Scope of work: Concept Design Role: Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and models for the project of Phu Quoc new Urban Form
Phu Quoc is widely regconized by travellers for its phenomenal island landscape with sandy beaches and crystal clear water. Besides those areas which are filled up with high-rated hotels and resorts, Phu Quoc still keep the primitive images that have grown up with the locals for several years before hospitality developments arrived. Paddy fields, aquatic agriculture, fish and prawn ponds, small and narrow rammed earth roads which tied up all the properties together, the locals happily live and wait for the time of harvest to come. That is the spirit which should be retained. Being on a remote island, products delivery and social demands are an issue; therefore the concept taking inspirations from vernacular landscape patterns and the spirit of self-sufficient, to create a new living environment having multiple facilities that can fullfil community needs while remain connections to the water and agriculture patterns of the site.

Phu Quoc, Vietnam Strategic Planning
Clients: Tan A Dai Thanh ;Area: 56 hectares 2019
Phase : Concept Design Scope of work: Strategic Planning, Architectural Design Role: Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and models for the project of MEYHOME capital. This project is the second urban development of the same client in Phu Quoc. Located just approx 500m away from the first site, this area has an advantage of being close to the beach and having a natural water flow crossing the site. Therefore, the initial approach for this project was to spatially connect the lake inside to the ocean outside, through a series of public spaces embedded with facilities; which then formed a central spine of the land. Smaller community hubs are also be dispersed so that every residential compounds can get access easily. The layering road hierachy also created ‘courtyard-like’ environments, so that the larger scale activities will be held on the spine while keeping the precincts intact. The project is now operated under the name of Meyhome capital

12 MAYSENSES LUCIA BAY Nghe An, Vietnam Strategic Planning Clients: Tan A Dai Thanh ; Area: 52.5 hectares 2020
Phase : Concept Design Scope of work: Strategic Planning, Architectural Design Role: Architect. Development of concepts, architectural drawings and models for the project of Maysenses Lucia bay. Bai Lu resort project’s site has many features that we take into account for the design process: a special topography that creates a character for the future resort, a water course that running downhill in to the valley right off the beach, and the excellent road connectivity to the airport and to the north and south areas. The initial concept and character for the masterplan are influenced by the landforms. The water spine, beachside feature pool and re-routed coastal road organize the masterplan allowing for beachside villas, central hotel with convention facilities and adjoining villas, shop houses and public beach plaza to all be easily arranged to utilize the natural beauty of the site. They are also be seperated into zones and phasing that allow client to operate the Hotel and resort individually without interuption. The masterplan’s goal was to highlight the utter beauty of the site as well as providing the diversity of experiences, facilties and amenities for guests to come year-round. The project is now operated under the name of Maysenses Lucia Bay .
