Written by Olivia Bebb

On the 8th March, we excitedly boarded the coach to take us to the U13 Greater London hockey tournament Loads of schools were there; many of us saw friends from other schools that we recognised

In total we played 5 games throughout the day In the pool games, we won our first game against JAGS B 3-1 and followed this up in our second game against Surbiton B with a 3-1 win With a closer game against Kingston, we luckily won 1-0 and managed to make it into the semi-finals

After finishing first in our pool, we came up against Tiffin, who finished second in their pool It was a close match! At the end of time it was 1-1 Which led to penalties It was tense, but we made it to victory, winning 2-1 on sudden death penalties!

As we prepared for our place in the finals, we were all ready to play our best Highgate were strong opponents and after a tough match, at full time it was 1-1 The game went to penalties and although we lost, we came home proud to have come second place in our tier and wearing our shiny, silver medals
