TOGETHER WE MOVE FORWARD Looking back over the past year, I can honestly say that this has been a year like no other. But out of chaos comes innovation and creativity. As the challenges of the pandemic, the outcry for social justice and a heated election arose, the everyday mission of New Hampshire PBS — to serve and support you with exceptional community-centered programming — took on additional urgency.

absentee voting process.

It’s why, when our kids were sent home from their schools, we immediately enhanced our at-home learning resources. Our LEARN AT HOME website (nhpbs.org/learnathome) is a vital link between home and school so that every child can receive quality, educational content while learning remotely.

It’s why we partnered with NHPR to produce and broadcast the Presidential Candidate Forums in the spring and the Candidate Debates between the contenders for New Hampshire’s top offices this past fall.

It’s why we continue to provide access to Governor Sununu’s weekly press briefings so that our communities stay safe and informed. It’s why we are producing more local programs like WINDOWS TO THE WILD that highlight the natural beauty and the unique stories of the Granite State and the people who live here. It’s why we’re continually collecting resources to help deepen our understanding of racism in America on our nhpbs.org/raceinamerica webpage, and it’s why we co-produced READING FREDERICK DOUGLASS with the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire. It’s why we produced a series of NH Votes Safe PSAs that were designed to explain the

It’s why we responded to a critical need for in-depth analysis of the coronavirus pandemic with the launching of a new digital series: THE STATE WE’RE IN. This series has covered important topics such as remote learning, telehealth, tenant evictions, absentee voting and how COVID-19 has impacted small businesses.

And it’s why we produced the fourth documentary in our ROADS TO RECOVERY series that focused on substance use disorders among NH veterans (nhpbs.org/roads). New Hampshire PBS will continue to produce and deliver the essential programs you demand and on which you rely, and I find that their real value is never clearer than in times of challenge. During these shorter days of winter, I hope you discover a program on NHPBS that resonates with you, that satisfies your curiosity and that inspires you to think differently. Everything we do at New Hampshire PBS is on your behalf. With gratitude for your support, Peter A. Frid President & CEO
