Good! I don’t need to fight, thought Cress. He pushed the paintings to the back door. The big man stirred. Cress used his nose to push the painting out of the robber’s house. He gathered some squirrels willing to help him when he hastily explained the situation. He arranged a group of four squirrels for each painting and soon all the paintings were transferred as quickly as possible to Jim’s home. The squirrels said they put the paintings in Jim’s room. Cress was delighted, his owner would be so proud of him. Cress peeked into Jim’s room and saw the paintings; he gave a happy neigh and then went to his stable and fell asleep in his warm hay.
