NHS Kirklees is responsible for: • Engaging with the local population to improve health and well-being.

• Providing community health services such as district nurses, school nursing and health visiting.

• Commissioning other services on your behalf, such as GPs, dentists, pharmacists and opticians and funds hospital, mental health and residential care services.

PALS is here to help anyone who has a query about health service matters, including members of the public, patients, carers and staff.

Yes, unless we believe you or someone else might be at risk, we will only take steps to help you with your concerns with your consent.

What is PALS?

We keep confidential records, for our monitoring purposes, which you can see at any time.

We understand that being a patient or the relative or carer of a patient, can be a worrying or confusing experience.

Sometimes you might need to turn to someone for help and support.

PALS is a free and confidential service to guide you through the different services available at NHS Kirklees and other local NHS providers.

We can also help you find ways to resolve any concerns you might have about services being provided.


