ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT?

1. Go to https://apply.niagara.edu/apply.

1. Go to https://apply.niagara.edu/apply.

2. Under First Time Users, click Create an Account.

2. Log in using your previous email and password.

3. Fill out the contact information under Register and click Continue. You will be emailed a temporary PIN.

3. Click on Graduate Application at the bottom of the page under the Graduate heading.

4. Enter the temporary PIN under Login.

4. Click on the Graduate Application you started under the My Applications heading.

5. Set password by clicking Set Password. 6. Click Start New Application and select the term/type you wish to apply for under drop down under Select Application Type. 7. Select ______ Graduate Programs (on-campus and online) and Ph.D. Application Lewiston, New York, USA and click Create Application, then Open Application. 8. Fill out each application component, clicking Continue to move on to the next section. 9. You may upload any necessary supplemental items under the Required Materials tab. You will also be able to add supplemental items after the application is submitted.

5. Continue working on your application, filling out each application component, clicking Continue to move on to the next section. 6. Once you have completed all required sections of the application, sign your name in the "Required Signature" tab and select Confirm. 7. You may either submit your application in the Required Submission by clicking Submit Application, or you can come back to any incomplete sections at a later time by selecting Save for Later. 8. You may view your application status/upload necessary supplemental items by clicking on Graduate Application under Application Management and click Review.

10. Once you have completed all required sections of the application, sign your name in the Required Signature tab and select Confirm. 11. You may either submit your application in the Required Submission by clicking Submit Application, or you can come back to any incomplete sections at a later time by selecting Save for Later. 12. You may view your application status/upload necessary supplemental items by clicking on Graduate Application under Application Management and click Review.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS – EMAIL OR MAILED

• Official transcripts of all colleges and universities attended can be sent electronically directly from the institution (preferred) or mailed in a sealed envelope. Electronic transcripts should be sent to grad-ed@niagara.edu. • If you have not yet graduated and/or your degree has not been conferred, please send your "in progress" official transcript. An official transcript will still be required once your degree is conferred if you are admitted into the program.

TWO REFERENCES – ONLINE

• Academic, professional, and/or volunteer references are acceptable. • In the application, you will input your recommender's contact information, and our application system will send them an automated email with a secure link to submit their letter of recommendation on your behalf. You will receive a confirmation email once the letters have been received.

STATEMENT OF INTENT – ONLINE

• Two page, double spaced, typed statement discussing your academic and/or research background, your career goals, personal philosophy, and how Niagara University’s graduate program will help you meet your career and educational goals. • Please include your name and anticipated entry term at the top of this uploaded document.

RESUME AND/OR EXPERIENCE PROFILE – ONLINE (optional)

• Resume and/or profile including all professional experiences relating to the intended field of study.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS – MAILED OR ONLINE

Teacher Education and Advanced Education (Literacy, Special Education, TESOL) - Teacher Education and Advanced Education applicants are required to take one of the following tests listed below, or show proof of previous test results taken within the last six years. Individuals who have previously completed a masters degree in a related field are not required to submit graduate testing for advanced education programs. Accuplacer (recommended option): https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org GRE: www.ets.org/gre.html ACT: www.act.org/ College Board (SAT): https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat The Accuplacer is a remotely proctored exam that can be taken on your home computer. The exam is very test-taker friendly, and includes questions related to arithmetic, reading, and writing. All sections are multiple-choice and untimed, and individuals are able to schedule the exam 24/7 with the remote proctoring service. The proctoring fee for the test is $25 USD. The Graduate Education Office will provide a voucher for the exam once the application is submitted. SCHOOL COUNSELING AND CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING APPLICANTS Applicants are not required to submit test scores.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY APPLICANTS

All applicants are required to take the GRE including Niagara University students/graduates.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A degree evaluation by WES (www.wes.org) or Spantran (www.spantran.com) is required for applicants who have obtained a degree outside of the U.S. or Canada. Please select the comprehensive course-by-course report. • For individuals whose native language is not English, a language proficiency examination is required. Please visit www.niagara.edu/toefl-requirements for more information. NU waives this examination requirement for students scoring 600+ on the GRE/GMAT.
