Curriculum
For individuals who are not certified teachers, this 39 credit hour program leads to initial certification in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, Birth-Grade 6 (Primary/Junior for candidates seeking certification in Ontario) or Middle Childhood and Adolescence Education, grades 5-12 (Intermediate/Senior for candidates seeking certification in Ontario). All coursework is fully online, with a mix of both synchronous and asynchronous classes. The program spans three semesters for full-time students and can begin in summer, spring, or fall. A summer start allows completion in one year, while fall or spring starts take 15 months. The program combines online coursework, field experience, and student teaching, with part-time options available.
Our exclusive agreements with local school districts, offer students the opportunity to “Earn and Learn” while completing this program. This allows students to gain real-world experience while being paid as a schoolbuilding substitute teacher.

FLEXIBILITY
Programs can be completed in three semesters, with full-time and parttime options available. Classes can be two days a week, with fall, spring, summer start dates.
