1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them? I have learnt a great deal through out this module I have developed my design skills in terms of screen-printing and re learning a lot of the skills required and learning new ones while printing t-shirts for the first time with varying degrees of success. Regarding the business aspect of the brief I have learnt a lot, as before I knew little to nothing about setting up a business. I have applied a lot of the skills I have learnt through the project in the event we have organised organising the finances and other aspects of the event I feel directly linked to some of the lectures and seminars.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process? Because of the event it turned out there was a lot of design work involved in the module, the work we produced to sell at the event but also the branding of our company. I feel I developed a lot of my skills through this project regarding screen printing and branding.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these? I feel through out the project I have had good time management, having to organise several aspects of the event, and I believe I have shown leadership qualities in the form of decision making, I also feel confident presenting is a strength of mine which I hopefully showed within the presentations.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future? I feel I have not been very good at certain aspects of research but when applying the research of others I feel I dealt with that effectively.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these? -
Have a better body of research Create a working website Get the date of the event sorted before church folk book the date we want. Create a publication for the event Have a stronger brand identity
