1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them? I have found it very difficult to get to grips with this project, especially the YCN aspect of the brief. Despite this I found with the product/range/distribution brief It gave the freedom to allow me to be able to apply a lot of the skills I had learnt in the type module. Due to my interest in type and layout I have been able to experiment further into developing my own skills within this area. Another aspect of this brief I have found interesting and beneficial, was the proposal aspect of both briefs, this aloud me to reengage with Photoshop as a program which was applied with varying degrees of success.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process? Unfortunately with this final module of the year I have not done nearly as well as I should have, I am of the opinion I should have a steady improvement on grades and more importantly knowledge throughout the year and modules, in the previous design practice modules I feel I learn a great deal and my grades reflected the effort and commitment I had to what I was doing. I have with this module in part for unforeseen circumstances along with not being able to reengage with the course coming back after a 5 week gap has lead me to coast the last module some what, I am in no way pleased with the amount of time and effort I have placed on this module, therefore not developing as a designer but recycling old ideas and ill thought out design strategy.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these? Despite being underwhelmed by the majority of my work I am fairly pleased with the out come of my 驶homeless始 publication, I think thins can be attributed to the fact I could really engage with it as it was a self initiated brief but also because it tied in skills learnt from other modules (type) which interest me. I think I applied the skills I had learnt well, if only on a fairly simple level due to the amount of copy that is actually in the publication.
