New Classics

New Classics Our New Classics Collection is, as the name suggests, a new twist on classical designs that have been popular for centuries. These are rugs that will never go out of styleâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;because they are modern interpretations of timeless designs. Floral motifs, simple stripes and bold graphic patterns are reinterpreted and made new.

We remake the classics by changing the scale of the design motif, or adding and combining colors in new and unexpected ways. These rugs are timeless, elegant, and continue to be some of our most popular. They work in any room, with many styles of dĂŠcor.

Sultan Stripe

“Sultan” is derived from an Arabic word meaning strength and authority. This bold striped design represents the power wielded by the rulers of the Ottoman Empire for over 700 years.

Gumbo Limbo

The Gumbo Limbo tree, or Bursera Simaruba, is a tree native to Florida, Mexico and the Caribbean. It’s also known as the Tourist Tree, since its bark is red and peels off, like a tourist’s sunburn. A whimsical take on the small, rounded leaves of the Gumbo Limbo tree.

There is perhaps no natural fragrance more beguiling than jasmine. It has inspired love songs and poetry throughout the centuries. Here we take the jasmine leaf and create a geometric, repeating pattern that is simple yet compelling.

Moorish Stripe

Moorish Stripe suggests the rolling sand dunes, blistering sun and fierce winds of North Africa—home of the Moors.

Mah Jongg Petals

Mah Jongg Petals was inspired by an incredibly beautiful set of antique Mah Jongg tiles. The flower tiles—plum, orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo—were so exquisite we knew we had to create a rug design in their honor.

Every beautiful design can be customized to any size and color combination and are available in a wide variety of materials. Wool, silk, bamboo, linen, hemp, allo, viscose, nylon, cotton, and more. All rugs are individually hand knotted and woven in Nepal and India. NIBA Rug Collections proudly wear the Goodweave Foundation Label, assuring the production of each rug is child-labor free, and that a portion of the proceeds pays for the education and care of thousands of children.
