Introduction Rumoeya Concept is an interior design company based in Jakarta. Established in 2011, Rumoeya Concept was started by Rudy Moersali as the founder. Since then, Rumoeya Concept has been working on over 90 interior design projects.

About Rudy Moersali Rudy Moersali started and enriched his experience in interior design through a different path. Unlike others, he started his career since 2004 vertically in property development sector, from salesman to manager, from business development to marketing director.

A Self-Made Interior Designer In 2010, while working in one of the most prestigious residential companies inhibited in West Jakarta, Rudy was exposed to a lot more interior design projects and realized his passion in the field.
His passion in building comfortable yet beautiful homes design led him to services Rumoeya Concept offers today, while continuously seeking ways to reduce cost and improve quality.
Inspired by a well-known interior designer group, Genius Loci, Rudy decided to establish his own interior design firm, Rumoeya Concept in 2011.

Discovery The early step to learn a client's needs is by deepening understanding about their background. Whether it’s a commercial, house or apartment project. We do site surveys to effectively utilize the area while at the same time representing the client’s preferred style.
Layout & Design Layouting, or commonly known as floor-plan, is the key of all projects. It determines people traffic in the area and furnitures’ placement. If it’s a house or apartment, the question is how many people are staying in the residence. By getting to know family members' age ranges and profession, we may divide the area for more useful purposes.

Budgeting We focuses on serving medium to higher budget projects, because we learn that budget determines materials used in the design. We believe Asians, including Indonesian people, tend to stay in the same home for more than 10 years. Thus, we will only use durable materials for the furniture around.

Build & Construct Design doesn’t mean anything without great execution. We provide a complete range of interior services. We have project management, design and manufacturing resources (workshops) to meet our clients' expectations. Aside from our interior design services, we also do general contractor services.
3D Render & Timeline From sketches to layout, it’s time for 3D images rendering to give the real and better perception for clients to see through the design offered. Timeline is then set depending on the complexity and size of the renovated area. In majority, scope of works in the timeline includes preparation, mechanical electrical, fit out, repaint, cleaning, polishing and decorating.

In addition to our core processes, we also help our clients with Decoration Services to enhance the interior design, such as picking out curtains, carpets, wallpapers and other accessories.

Our Services
Interior Design & Build Interior Design & Build includes conceptual & style development, site inspections, space planning, construction management, and execution of the design.

General Contractor Architecture Architecture includes planning, designing and constructing buildings and other physical structures.
General contractors generally execute the renovation work requested by the clients. We also help them on smaller scope of works, as well as plumbing, and other basic tasks required.

Raffles, Ciputra World 1 Our interior design work at Raffles was one of our proudest projects. We had the opportunity with a client who trusts and appreciates our recommendations and finally, both parties were beyond happy with the result. The client owns many properties before and this apartment is the second time we work on together. It's an apartment of approximately 480m2, consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 home office and 1 home theater.

The client is a family of 4 members and they always opt for modern-classy design that most represents their style. At the same time, they are also dare to be out the box, so we design the ceiling with gold printed wallpaper at some areas in the apartment.

Before coming to us, the client had some poor experience with another designer regarding budgeting, so he came to us with quite high expectation. To achieve the chosen design to execute, we believe there are many better alternative materials so we can manage the budget under control.

Bubble Lee MOI & Hub Life Taman Anggrek Bubble Lee is a well-known bubble (milk tea) drink from Taiwan. The client is the main franchisor of the brand in Indonesia and they plan to open a series of stores in malls. This time, we highlight one of the first two stores located in Jakarta. For the store design itself, we are not bound by certain limitations: as long it includes red, white and light brown woods as major colors. We want to enhance the playful and a little of childish mood in the store, inspired by Bubble Lee's origin story.

Our biggest challenge working on this project is how to carry out the most effective layout for only 50m2 wide area, having 10 staffs working at the station in 1 shift and well planned mechanical electrical settings that may cater a lot of machines.

Nava Park BSD City We had the opportunity to work on over 15 house interior design projects at Nava Park, BSD City. The houses were built with very nice minimalist house exterior design, so what we did on the interior basically was to enhance this style. Almost all our clients own these houses as their second or weekend homes. To elevate the minimalist design, we majorly played with white and brighter furnitures and accents. For white or cleaner finishing, we prefer white duco rather than HPL. We also prefer natural wooden veneer and finishing Melamine PU (Polyurethane) on woods, instead of lacquer to keep costs on budget.

The plan was to rent out this apartment so we had to choose a neutral design for the entire apartment. We believed modern and minimalist design was the best option for this need. Every tenant staying at this apartment would feel comfortable and feel at home.

The Windsor Puri Indah The Windsor Residence is a premium and luxurious apartment resided in West Jakarta. Having the opportunity to work on more than 20 interior design projects at The Windsor was a great pleasure for us. For the highlighted project here, the client is a mom in her 30-ish and she just had a newborn baby. The briefing was very straightforward. She wanted her home to be modern with minimalist style, yet childfriendly for her baby. We've got advantage from natural sun beam across the room and reflected it through bright or white furnitures around the apartment.

Apartment at The Windsor has private lift that take the resident arrive at their home directly with personal access. We wanted the client to feel welcome when they're home, so we installed the dining and kitchen area near the private lift. On the other side, we located the playing area as the center of the family room, so the client could always monitor and take care of her child's needs while she was busy around the apartment.

Citra 6 The client comes from a Chinese family background, so he prefers gold accents on the furniture around the house to emphasize the culture. Though gold furniture pieces are symbols of opulence, but avoid risking “overdoing it�, we consider adding gentle gold accents via an infinite-shape wall panel and mirror frames. The family as a whole are very social. They often receive guests at their house, so we built a very cozy living room, with a billiard table on the side, a karaoke room and more than one bar.

Just around the corner of the living room, we manage a play & study room for the children, where they can move around the center desk if they prefer to relax a little. We also learnt that the client is a very neat person so we plan carefully on the function of every room to meet this need.

Springhill Kemayoran Springhill is located on the green area of Kemayoran, at the heart the new CBD, surrounded by business districts and the famous commercial areas of Jakarta. The complex consists of 171 townhouses, 5 apartments and a service apartment in a sprawling area of 8.6 ha with an 18-hole golf course surrounding it. Our clients' projects were varied from Springhill Golf Residences (townhouse of 500 m2), Royale Springhill Residences (apartment of 196 m2) and Springhill Terrace Residences (apartment of 90 m2). Fortis Coffee Shop Senayan Park The client is an owner of the sushi-chain restaurant in New York City in the USA and he's bringing the business to his hometown in Indonesia. Starting this project as his hidden passion in coffee, besides sushi-chain restaurants, the client aims to serve blue collars who are working in the CBD area, such as Senayan. Building a coffee shop inside a mall is quite challenging, considering a very limited space for serving area but at the same time manage to having enough seating area for customers.

The briefing shared with Rumoeya Concept was nearly none, so we proposed a rustic style with a hint of elegant for the coffee shop. We highlighted flame finish woodcraft for the background panel, combined with grey wall tiles and synthetic plants. We tried to balance the rustic atmosphere in the coffee shop with rose gold accent on the furnitures instead of plain metal. We used brighter lighting in the coffee shop but darker granite tiles for flooring. Contrast and balance as we recalled and the key for this project. Just like a good cup of coffee.

Avrist Holding Company Office Established in 1975, Avrist is one of the leading life insurance companies in Indonesia. The project we are working on for Avrist is to design the holding company office with approximately 259m2 located at Melawai, Jakarta. The office space is to serve as the meeting point for the executives. We decided to add moroccan style pattern on the wall and working desk and build a beautiful archway to lend a relaxed-but-chic feel to the CEO office.

Considering the designated space was quite spacey, we had to plan the area carefully so it was still quite warm to welcome people working for long hours, so we added synthetic grass on the wall with yellow accents in general working area besides white color in majority on the furnitures. In general, the main challenge in finishing this project was the short length of working period within 60 days and late evening of working hours due to the location of the office inside an office building.

Luxury meets budget. That’s one liner to best describe my personal experience with Rumoeya Concept (RC). We always want the best for our home, a place where we live day to day, yet it doesn’t come cheap. The glamorous concept that we think of is always beautiful, but it is not when we see the budget planning. It is always too expensive. This is when RC comes to offer balancing between luxury and down to earth budget. They can provide you with list of options that you can choose, from small project in tens million to large project in billion.
