Welcome & Contents

Hello Readers,

Welcome to the September/October edition of HULLMAG. Well the children are all safly back at school or college and for lots of parents that means life can revert back to normal for at least another few months. I hope that you have all enjoyed the summer and managed to get away on holiday or for a few days out. I was just thinking whilst I ate my breakfast this morning how lucky we are in Hull and East Yorkshire. We have so many great events and places of interest right here on our doorstep and with City of Culture looming things can only get better - I just need to find some time to fit everything in!

4 Motorcycle Trials Tickets

We have a great competition in this edition to go to the Sheffield Arena to see the World’s No.1 Indoor Motorcycle Trials - which just looks so breath takingly dangerous - but so much fun - if only I was 30 years younger I would love to give it a go. Marion Owen has also got plenty of ideas for the over 50’s on the Travel page where she looks at cruises. This month we have a great feature to whet your appetite for the East Yorkshire Business Expo. HullMag will be at the Expo together with the many local and regional businesses that attend every year to promote, network and raise their company profiles to the business community. I am looking forward to the keynote speaker; Ian Bishop, and hope to come away with some useful insights on marketing. I am sure with his experience of FMCG’s in the supermarket business and the marketing of Yorkshire County Cricket Club he will have a few tales to tell as well as some fantastic advice. Perhaps a cricket bat might be useful in board meetings!!!

If you want to relax we have our regular crossword and sudoku puzzles for you to pit your wits against. I hope you like the cover paintings - they were both by local artist Shirley Goodsell and more of her paintings can be seen on page six. I can certainly recommend that you go along to one of her exhibitions and view her works, she really does have a talent and has captured the times and places that tell her family’s association with Hull. Until next month, take care and enjoy HullMag.

Shirley Goodsell: “My Family’s Journey through the Old Town of Hull” Local artist Shirley Goodsell talks to HullMag about her latest exhibition. I have a solo exhibition entitled “My Family’s Journey through the Old Town of Hull” - It is on show at Studio Eleven in Humber Street from Saturday October 1st to Sunday November 13th 2016. In my oil paintings I am trying to evoke a time that has long since gone. I want people living now to experience the changes that have happened to the Old Town of Hull as they visit it today. I have tried to convey in my paintings the smell of fish and chips at Carver’s, the aroma of the nearby fish dock and the exotic fruit being auctioned off at the Humber Street Fruit Market; School holidays bringing boys to the docks with worms on hooks, string and sticks; and Saturday afternoons teeming with crowds of shoppers down Whitefriargate and the indoor and outdoor markets near Holy Trinity hunting for weekend meat bargains.

Family members long since gone told of their memories of the noisy arrival of early motor cars and trams down Lowgate, congestion around the Wilberforce Monument and Victoria Square, busy traffic on the barge packed River Hull and the Old Town Docks thriving with import and export traffic before they diminished. Running alongside my exhibition will be oil painting and lino cutting workshops, creative writing workshops and guided tours. The Exhibition is also touring and you can catch it at :Hull School of Art and Design from Tuesday November 15th - Sunday December 11th 2016 Hull History Centre from Saturday April 1st - Sunday April 30th 2017 (Part of 2017 Roots and Routes) Holy Trinity from Wed May 3rd - Monday May 15th 2017 Central Library Hull Thursday May 18th - Wed May 31st 2017

Artists are invited to submit artwork for 2017 Open Exhibition The Ferens Art Gallery is calling for submissions from professional and amateur artists for the 2017 Open exhibition. Artists aged 16 or above from across the region can submit up to three pieces of work for this popular exhibition, now in its 50th year, from Thursday 22 September until midnight Sunday 16 October. For the first time artists will register their works online, submitting photos for the consideration of an invited panel of external selectors. 2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Ferens Open and will be an extra special year due to input from three highly respected external judges: Dr Gabriele Finaldi, Director of the National Gallery, the Hull born actress Maureen Lipman CBE and the internationally renowned sculptor and Royal Academician David Mach. The chosen artworks will be displayed from 21 January until 12 March 2017, taking centre stage for the gallery’s reopening in January 2017, when Hull is UK City of Culture. This is a unique opportunity for artists to show their work alongside internationally significant paintings from the Ferens permanent collection such as Pietro Lorenzetti’s panel painting of Christ between Saints Paul and Peter, c.1320, which will be revealed for the very first time. Councillor Terry Geraghty, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure and Chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “It is fantastic for Hull that we have an exhibition to showcase exceptional local and regional talent. This exhibition is always hugely successful with increased numbers of artists submitting artwork each year. 2017 also marks the exhibitions 50th anniversary making it extra special for the artists and gallery.

“I hope that our local artists of all ages will be creative and enter their work. It is

an opportunity to play their part during Hull’s UK City of Culture year as well as the chance to have work on display in the newly refurbished Ferens.” Kirsten Simister, Curator of Art at Ferens Art Gallery, said: “For many, the Open Exhibition is the highlight of Hull’s art calendar and regularly receives over fifteen hundred entries while the exhibition attracts thousands of visitors each year. “The Ferens Art Gallery looks forward to receiving entries from not only well-established and popular artists but new and emerging talent, aiming to create an enjoyable and stimulating exhibition in the spacious and impressive setting of the gallery.” Prizes are on offer for the chosen works, which have been kindly donated by Friends of the Ferens and BSB Architecture, they include: l Friends of the Ferens Award: Awards of 1st prize £250, 2nd Prize £150 and 3rd Prize £100, the winners will be selected by the Friends of the Ferens and the Future Ferens l Student Award: £150 will go to the best student entry and will be chosen by local company BSB Architecture. l Council Cup Award: £100 prize selected by Councillor Terry Geraghty, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure. l 2017 Award: £500 prize, the winner will be selected by a public vote and announced on 1 March 2017. Any work submitted must have been created within the last 12 months. Only successful artists will be required to deliver their artwork to the Gallery and will be notified by email once the judges have made their selection.

The selection will take place on 25 October 2016, all artists will be notified of the selectors decision by email by 9 November 2016.

Engaging Education appointed as campaign leaders For the third year running the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership and Hull City Council have appointed young entrepreneurs Engaging Education to lead on its campaign for Global Entrepreneurship Week in November.

The company was appointed in order to promote the programme and achieve another high profile campaign before and during Global Entrepreneurship Week. They also have an understanding of the aspirations of young people as well as its national reputation of being able to attract business support for young people’s projects and activities.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is all about embracing innovation, imagination and creativity. It showcases enterprise, opening up new opportunities for young people across Hull, the UK and the world.

Councillor Martin Mancey, Portfolio Holder, said: “I believe that if we are to engage young people in the enterprise agenda it is essential that we know what they think. Engaging Education have the right tools to provide us with that information.

“I am pleased to see that the organisers have developed a high profile campaign to attract support and raise finances for the week’s activities and its great news that major businesses like Smith and Nephew, Swift Group and Sangwin Group are supporting this year alongside young entrepreneurs.

“Whether you’re in education, business, the public sector or a charity, everyone should get involved in Global Entrepreneurship Week. It’s about developing people’s enterprise skills and helping them achieve their ambitions and I urge the city to get behind the Week of activities.”

Ross Bennett, Director of Engaging Education, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Hull City Council and the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership to lead on their campaign to promote enterprise to the city’s young people during the week and in the run up to GEW 2016, and to lead on their campaign to attract high profile speakers and finance for the week.

“We have a twitter account @GEW_Hull with over 2,000 followers and a website www.gewhull.co.uk. We have made contact with over 300 businesses and educational establishments in the city to seek their support and gained support so far from Sangwin Group, Hull City Council, John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank, RB,Tech 4 Schools, Hull Training, Swift Group, KCOM, Green Port Hull, Jadan Press, JLF Group, Spencer Group, Hull Humber Chamber of Commerce, Smith and Nephew, GH Events, Humber LEP, Engaging Education, T Arran Photography and DLB Events.”

Over 50’s ... I have to admit that I have never thought of myself as a Saga Holiday Traveller but I am well into this age bracket now so why? I suppose the thought is these holidays are for old folk and now mid 50’s I do not class myself as old! I do remember 4 decades ago when I started working in the travel industry we booked Saga holidays mainly in the UK staying in UNI accommodation, often with shared facilities. There admin was appalling and they went direct sell. Of course over the years the service and quality has changed for the better. Travel agents have been booking their holidays for the last couple of years and Titan is a sister company we have booked for many years. I am now re thinking, for example…. Just look at the advantages for the over 50’s taking a Saga Cruise. Inclusions are: Spacious small ship cruising.  Adults only over the age of 50 with the exception of companions 40+.  Travel from your door (max 6 per car).  Gratuities (tips are included).  Free Wi-Fi & loan of iPads.  Holiday insurance is included to, pre existing medical conditions are covered but not terminal illness.  Full board inc 7 choices of wine & other beverages with meals.  Speciality Restaurants, amazing Afternoon Tea & in cabin dining.  Price promise, if fares are reduced you will receive a refund. I enjoyed my experience aboard Saga Sapphire. The food quality and choice along with service was exceptional. The ship was spacious with a mix of modern and traditional public spaces. Carrying just 720 guests she is a nice size. Offering cabins and suites to suit all

City have shocked everyone. With a squad of just thirteen fit players we defeated the Premier League champions and followed that up with victory at Swansea. Even more exceptional was the stellar performances of Jake Livermore as emergency centre half, Clucas breezing into the role as a Premier League holding midfielder and the return of Robert Snodgrass (below) to his former self. Much of this is down to

Mike Phelan. After Steve Bruce walked out on the Allams we were linked with a host of potential managers such as Roberto Martinez and Chris Coleman and Phelan was just seen as the afterthought. Phelan was just there to hold the fort through pre-season training, or maybe some friendlies but through the shambles behind the scenes no one else would sign up for the job especially as bookies, experts and even some fans expected a humiliating season when Derby’s lowest points total would be under threat. We now look at home in the

To Contact

division, the players are working for each other, we are hard to break down and fans are fully behind these players. The priority now is to get Phelan (right) signed up on a permanent deal. Everyone has reached the same conclusion that he deserves the managers job but it’s not set in stone. It would appear that the owners are reluctant to commit not least with so many prospective owners on the horizon and the deal they have put forward is considerably less than other comparable managers and Steve Bruce for a guess. If we don’t sign him there is the chance that one other clubs could tempt him following the inevitable September or October sackings. Has there ever been a Premier League Manager of the Month who is just a caretaker?. Thankfully the potential takeover by Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li led to last minute investment during the final 48 hours of the transfer window with the signings of Ryan Mason, David Marshall, James Weir and Will Keane plus two loan deals for Markus Henriksen and Dieumerci Mbokani which become permanent in January. This of course brings us back to the ongoing pantomime of the City takeover. The Americans were chasing a deal for six months only for the Allams to demand an additional fee for the Stadium Management Company. Next came the first Chinese consortium who

attended the Leicester game as club guests and all was agreed before the Premier League announced that they were not all fit and proper people to run the club. Billionaires with big plans but not whiter than white in the view of the people conducting the enquiries for the football authorities. Least the transfer kitty was opened pending this sale or we may have been left with 1415 first teamers till January. The ghost of Christmas past now reappears in the shape of Paul Duffen who we all hope is just assisting the sale of the club to Chinese American businessman Chien Lee. Another rich businessman who owns French club Nice and he and his group of investors have money and some football knowledge. We just hope Paul Duffen is solely involved in brokering a deal and is not to return as Chief Executive. The massive debts which nearly liquidated City came on his watch and led to the arrival of the Allams. Let’s hope something is sorted by next months column as everyone needs some stability, Mike Phelan deserves a deal and new deals need to be made with players such as Snodgrass, Robertson, Hernandez, Maguire and Livermore. All could walk away next June so signing them up before the next transfer window is crucial. Hernandez could be tempted to return to Italy if he runs down his contract so a takeover is crucial to retaining our stars. The club also has to pay up for Henriksen and Mbokkani in January so let’s hope there are further transfer funds available by this time. Hull City have made an impressive start to their return to Premier League and rather than a fight to avoid 20th position a mid table position may yet be possible. One of the overlooked aspects of City’s depleted squad is that most of this squad performed in the Premier League two years ago and with Mike Phelan’s more positive and committed football ethos plus six new signings we look capable of holding our own.

Words by Woody Mellor

The close season was not a happy time for Hull City fans. One would expect lots of excitement, lots of optimism and lots of new faces to strengthen a newly promoted team but we had none of this and to cap it all we lost our manager. We also lost key players such as McGregor, Dawson and Odubajo to injury and Diame jumped ship to Newcastle. Doom and gloom greeted the arrival of the new season and the collapse of the American takeover made matters worse. We got ready for humiliation in front of the Sky cameras against Leicester... But we won!

Property

Adding Value to Your Property and Selling It Faster Hello readers, welcome to this month’s property article. Traditionally this time of year property agents see a brief slow down on property sales just after the school holidays, however this year I’m pleased to report we are receiving daily enquiries from both vendors and purchasers and are as busy as ever. This month I thought I would share some tips on how to make your home more valuable and ideally to sell faster! By making simple changes you can make such a difference to the overall property presentation. We are very lucky to work with some great local talented companies such as Heating engineers, Electricians, General Maintenance and Home Stagers whom can advise and prepare a private residence for sale in the marketplace. The goal of Home Staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money. Declutter (but don’t depersonalise): Clear out all excess belongings that accumulates in every nook and cranny. Have a car boot sale earn some money to buy new, utilise offsite storage or give it to a friend. People need to be able to envisage what the property would look like if they were living there. Make it easy for purchasers to see all the fantastic living

space you’re offering them. A fresh lick of paint: Giving your walls a fresh lick of neutral paint will make your home seem lighter and bigger. Again from a visualization purpose this gives potential buyers an inviting ‘blank canvas’ to work from. Fix and clean: Make any minor repairs necessary – holes in walls, broken door knobs, cracked tiles, torn or threadbare carpets. Clean everything (Including clearing the Garden!!!) until it sparkles. Get rid of lime scale, clean and repair tile grout, wax wooden floors, get rid of all odours, hang up fresh towels. Light and airy: Wall mirrors make a room look much bigger and lighter. Consider putting some up, especially in smaller rooms or hallways. Putting a soft lamp in the bathroom can create a warm glow. Clean windows inside and out, and replace any broken light bulbs. Making the place feel light and airy makes rooms feel bigger and the property more attractive. As always I would very much welcome feedback or requests on particular topics related to property.

Top 10 Autumn tips to prepare your garden for Winter Your crops have been harvested, and the exuberant summer colour has faded from your borders – but don’t be fooled into thinking that it’s all over until next spring. Autumn is a busy time in the garden, clearing away the decaying vegetation of the summer and preparing the garden for the cold winter months ahead. Let the big clear up begin! Remove Greenhouse Shading

By September, the days become shorter, and light is increasingly valuable resource. Removing the shade paint in your greenhouse will maximise the sunlight available to your plants. A bit of scrubbing with some hot water will bring the glass up sparkling clean. Pay attention to any gutters where trapped leaves will prevent rain water escaping from the roof of your greenhouse. Use this opportunity to replace any broken or damaged glass too.

Spring clean your greenhouse in autumn

Since you are already cleaning the outside of the greenhouse, it makes sense to tackle the inside as well to help reduce overwintering pests and diseases. Remove the plants before sweeping out any plant debris. Disinfect the greenhouse paths and staging, and the inside of the glass too. Use a hot solution of garden disinfectant such as Jeyes Fluid. You will need to ventilate your greenhouse well over the next couple of days to dry it thoroughly. Throughout the quiet winter months make an effort to wash out pots and seed trays in preparation for the spring sowing and planting. Don’t forget that you can still sow plenty of vegetables to grow in winter.

Tidy Borders

Dig up annuals and add them to the compost heap. You can replant your beds with winter bedding such as pansies, bellis daisies and wallflowers for a colourful display next spring. Autumn provides an ideal opportunity to move poorly placed plants, and divide overcrowded perennials while the soil is still warm. Cut back faded perennials to 5cm above ground level, but don’t be too tidy - some perennials have attractive seed heads that look wonderful covered in autumn dew, and provide handsome winter silhouettes. They will also provide shelter for overwintering insects. Once your borders are clean and tidy, spread a thick layer of compost, bark chips or well rotted manure across them. Don’t worry about digging it in - let the worms do the hard work for you.

Lawn maintenance

If your lawn looks slightly worse for wear then autumn is the perfect time to revitalise it. Remove thatch (old grass clippings) and moss using a spring tined rake and add it to the compost heap. If you have large amounts of moss then you may want to use a moss killer first. In areas that receive a lot of wear (such as paths and play areas) the soil can become compacted. Improve

To Contact

drainage and aeration by making deep holes with the prongs of a garden fork every 10cm across the entire area. A sandy top dressing can be brushed in afterwards, followed by an application of autumn lawn feed to prepare your lawn for the cold winter months. Autumn is a great time to lay new turf too, giving it plenty of time to establish before next summer.

Make leaf mould

Leafmould adds structure and organic matter to your soil. Most leaves from deciduous trees and shrubs will rot down to make lovely leaf compost in a couple of years, although some leaves will take longer than others. Oak, alder, beech and hornbeam rot fairly quickly while sycamore, walnut, horse chestnut and sweet chestnut may take a little longer. Shredding the leaves first will help to speed things up. Evergreens are best shredded and added to the compost heap as they are very slow to decompose. Construct a large bin out of wire mesh in a sheltered spot to collect your leaves in, or if space is limited simply use plastic bin liners with holes punch through the sides to let in the air. Fill the leaf bin/ bags with leaves and sprinkle with water. Tie the tops of bags and give them a good shake before stacking them out of sight and forgetting them for 2 years. If you are using a leaf bin you will need to remember to dampen the leaves occasionally if they become too dry. Once the leaves reach a crumbly texture they can be spread as a mulch throughout your borders.

Clear out compost bins

The autumn clear up of borders and vegetable plots always generates a lot of plant material for the compost heap. Autumn is an ideal time to clear out last year’s compost and use it around the garden to make room in compost bins for this season’s garden waste. If your compost isn’t quite ready then turn it to improve decomposition, and create a new heap - you can never have too much compost!

Plant evergreens

Evergreens form the backbone of the garden, providing structure and year round interest, so the more evergreens in your garden, the better it will look in winter! With warm soil and cooler conditions, autumn is the perfect time to fill those gaps in your borders. Sarcococca and Daphne will bring glossy green leaves and beautifully fragrant flowers in the depths of winter while the rest of your garden is dormant. For an elegant larger shrub try spring flowering Camellias or Fatsia for its large architectural foliage. For a more formal look, why not invest in some box or yew topiary. Lonicera nitida, Bay and Holly can also be clipped into formal shapes and make excellent evergreen hedges too.

Lift tender species

Make sure that you lift those tender species such as Begonias, Dahlias, and Cannas before the first frosts threaten. Cut back the stems and gently lift the tubers/rhizomes from the ground. Clean the soil from them and store them in trays of dry compost or sand, with just the top of crown visible. The trays can be kept in a cool, frost free place over winter until they can be replanted when the spring arrives. In very mild areas it may be possible to protect tender species without lifting them. Simply cover the crowns with a thick blanket of mulch.

Net ponds

Decomposing leaves can turn your pond water foul and block filters on pumps. Save effort later on by catching leaves before they fall into your pond. Simply spread a fine meshed net across the pond and pin it down with bricks. The leaves can be added straight to the compost heap or collected up to make leaf mould.

Maintain garden equipment

Before you store your lawn mower at the back of the shed, it is well worth sending it for a service to ensure that it is in perfect condition when you need it next spring. Shears and secateurs need sharpening - you can do this yourself or send them away if you prefer. Spades, forks and other tools will benefit from a good wash. Dry them thoroughly and oil the metal parts to prevent rust. Wooden handles can be cleaned and protected with linseed oil.

Hull Pirates off to a flying start! HULL Pirates Ice Hockey Team find themselves sat at the top of the English Premier League after making it four wins from four games. Having already beaten Manchester Phoenix 11-4 and champions Basingstoke 4-2, Hull Pirates added Sheffield Steeldogs (5-4) and Swindon Wildcats (4-2) to their list of victims. Hull Pirates v Basingstoke Match Report: Goals from Lee Haywood, Andrej Themar, Nathan Salem and Ugnius Cizas secured a 4-2 victory over defending champions Basingstoke Bison at the Hull Arena on Sunday evening. The Pirates went into the game at the Hull Arena off the back of an 11-4 victory over Manchester Phoenix on Saturday night. Despite early pressure from the visitors, it was Hull who took the lead in the opening minutes of the game. Stanislav Lascek finding Gareth O’Flaherty who played in Lee Haywood to finish at the back post giving Hull a 1-0 lead after 2:45. The first period continued to be a close affair, with both teams having further chances to score. However, the scoreline remained the same going into the first period break. Similar to the first period, it didn’t take the Pirates long to get another goal. Ryan Watt and Jason Hewitt combining to find Andrej Themar and the Slovakian made no mistake in firing the puck low into the net to extend Hull’s advantage to 2-0 on 21:16. The Pirates went on the powerplay at 35:01 and took full advantage of the extra man on the ice. Ryan Watt again providing the assist, this time with Jamie Chilcott, and captain Nathan Salem’s slapshot beat Hiadlovsky in the Basingstoke net to make it 3-0 on 35:36. Just before the conclusion of the second period, the visitors got themselves onto the scoresheet when

Rene Jarolin found the net with just four seconds left of the period. The Pirates went into the break with a 3-1 advantage. Basingstoke pushed to reduce the deficit and were rewarded when Ciaran Long scored with just under ten minutes left of the game. The Bison continued to push for an equalising goal, but Jordan Marr and the Pirates defence held strong to deny last season’s champions from finding the Pirates net again. With under a minute left, the Bison pulled Hiadlovsky to the bench, and Hull took full advantage of the empty net situation when Ugnius Cizas’ shot from the blueline extended the lead to 4-2 with 35 seconds remaining. Pirates goaltender Jordan Marr picked up the man of the match award after facing 29 shots. The result meant that

Hull picked up a four-point weekend to start the season and currently sit top of the English Premier League table. Smailes Goldie Hull Pirates return to action this weekend! FIONA’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT By Fiona Dwyer, broadcast journalist, PR & media consultant, slave to 2 children and a husband.

Lucky to live by the Humber We’ve recently come back from a lovely holiday in Menorca. You know what it’s like on your last day. You’re looking at the view of the beach and thinking “This is what I’ll miss” - as well as the weather, of course, although I can’t complain about that! It’s been great this year! Anyway, when we came back the children were eager to go for a Pokemon Go hunt, so, with friends, we went to the Humber Bridge Country Park, then the next day we walked along the river from North Ferriby to the Country Park Inn and back again. I’m sure many of you have probably done this before, but I hadn’t and let me tell you, the view was incredible - and certainly worthy of a few photos. It’s becoming a regular walk for us at different times of the day and each time we see different colours on the landscape. And believe me, we probably have more photos of this than our holiday! Absolutely beautiful! So when others are wondering what’s in Hull and why anyone would want to live here, here’s just one reason of many! As a side benefit I’ve lost 4 pounds! And it’s pretty good for hunting Pokemon too!

Free wi-fi across Hull If you haven’t already heard, we’re about to get free wi-fi right across Hull as the city gets ready for its year as the UK City of Culture 2017. Users will get up to 50 MegaBytes of free downloads a day which will also cope with streaming short YouTube videos. The coverage will include Queen Victoria Square, King Edward Street, Jameson Street, parts of the Old Town and the Marina, as well as the Interchange, plus areas within all the major public parks including East, West, Pickering and Pearson. There are also going to be ‘digital inclusion areas’ including North Bransholme, Orchard Park, Longhill and Preston Road with plans in place to expand coverage even further across the city. Hull really is the place to be at the moment and we’re embracing the digital age! So it’s not only good for us, millions of visitors are on the verge of coming and we’re going to see more businesses flocking to the area too! Fantastic!

Fiona’s Grilled Peaches This month I would like to share a favourite seasonal recipe with you. l SERVES 4 l PREPARATION 5 mins l COOKING 3-4 mins INGREDIENTS l 4 large ripe peaches l 1-2tbsp sugar METHOD 1. Cut peaches along the seam all the way around and twist the halves off the stone. Heat the grill to high. 2. Sprinkle the cut surfaces of the peach halves with a layer of sugar and place on a baking tray, cut side up. 3. Place the peaches under the grill for 3-4 minutes, or until the sugar starts to caramelise. Serve with vanilla ice cream, crème fraîche or Greek yoghurt. Fiona’s Top tips There is no need to peel the fruit. Instead of sugar, you could also drizzle with honey or agave.
