Now that the London 2012 Olympic Games have come to an end, I offer
my congratulations to the athletes of the Commonwealth for their outstanding contribution to what has been a truly memorable Olympiad.
The enthusiasm and commitment of all of those who participated in the Games, whether as athletes, officials or as spectators, certainly captured the
public's imagination and earned their admiration.
The triumphs of these Games
will, I am sure, have inspired a new
generation of athletes to uphold the Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship.
