Luxury? Luxury is a difficult concept to define, with everyone’s perception of luxury different how can a truly luxury product be effectively designed for economic production? In attempt, I began exploring the concept of Luxury, and existing ‘luxury’ products aimed at the market today.
Design Aim To design a new exclusive trainer design aimed at 20 - 30 year old males, emphasizing luxury design aesthetic and fitting within a luxury lifestyle.

Product Tech. Product Luxury The design coheres well with today’s stand on what luxury products are, fitting the design aesthetic, material usage and quality of products perceived as luxury.
Magnetic Strap By using a magnetic strap, the modern aesthetic is achieved without the need for using Velcro a product synonymous with children’s shoes.
In-keeping and designed around 20-30 year old fashion aesthetics, the product should appeal to a proportion of those in the market for luxury goods in the demographic.

Leather Upper The white leather upper surface provides a neutral aesthetic, ensuring the design is not overpowering or extravagant.
Copper Exterior
Carbon Sole
A moulded copper exterior shell gives the product a unique aesthetic and construction, providing a stark contrast to the white leather upper.
Utilising the inherent strength and light weight of carbon fibre the sole also relates to the luxury of the product with carbon fibre’s reputation as a premium material.
