Proposal For my FMP I aim to produce promotion pieces for the Summer Olympics. This will contain a series of poster prints for advertising and the celebration of where the games are being held, and a large animated mural campaigning the event. To produce this I will need to carry out survey methods or questionaires, ways of research that will highlight what people expect to see in such pieces, and whats most important to them in relation with the olympics. Im going to search through a number of books and websites, taking in a lot of images that represent well what Im looking for, then taking these images and experimenting with appearance and layout and print methods eg stencil, illustrate, abstracting parts of the image out. For the promotion prints I will study previous countries posters and artists work including Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. Also for the prints I aim to dig out some famous olympic quotes from the past to possibly include. For the final animation that will be displayed I want to create a large white wall illustration containing sentimental and relevent images that represent London and the olympics and will photograph frames of its creation then developing an animation of its production within all the stills. Following the timeline ive created and getting through the difficult research period I feel confident to have strong pieces finished on time.
