He also sits on the advisory panel for Artists and Illustrators magazine. He has appeared on British National Television in 1998 both as a regional winner and a national finalist on Channel Four's Watercolour Challenge programme. A regular contributor and writer for Artists and Illustrators Magazine, The Artist magazine, Paint (SAA) and numerous other UK publications, Paul has also produced four teaching art DVDs on the subject of watercolour painting which are regularly shown on Sky TV. Artist's statement: "My work reflects the rugged scenery of the landscape, either in the context of wild places or in the nature of the South Pennine landscape where I live. Here, I draw my inspiration from the remains of the pre-industrial era where crumbling enclosure walls and ancient pastures still survive. It is this or the open mountain and moorland terrain that inspires me to explore the spirit of historical connections using layers of colour, texture, shapes and patterns applied with energy and feeling.”

New work continues to arrive every week and we are really pleased to welcome back Guy Routledge and Rebecca Appleby to the gallery. Both have terrific reputations in Modern British Ceramics and hand build their work to exacting standards. We will shortly be welcoming Myer Halliday from Scotland to the gallery too with his gorgeously unique vessels. Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
