ECCO Leather owns and operates tanneries in China, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and Thailand. These state-of-the-art tanneries offer secure production capabilities and scale to suit growing customer demand as well as seamless communication with ECCO’s shoe factories. More than 200 hands touch every piece of leather before it leaves the building – surely the ultimate symbol of craftsmanship and quality control. In ECCO’s beamhouse, rawhides are washed several times in large drums to remove dirt, hair and natural fat. The hides are also processed in various machines that cut off the excess fat and make the hides slim. In the tannery, the hides undergo a tanning process to make them soft, flexible and stable in water. The hides are then referred to as wet blue because of the blue-green shade which they acquire when they are treated. The wet blue is tanned in drums with colour and is dried, stretched, sprayed and pressed to get the right look, feel and quality of the finished leather. ECCO is synonymous with a passion for quality in every single detail. With these values in mind ECCO have developed a unique shoe care program tailor made for ECCO products. A few of the many great features of their products are that they are environmental friendly, made of natural skin care friendly ingredients, easy to apply and with a long lasting effect.

Leather Care
Clean Just like a shower to clean your skin our water-based cleaning products effectively remove any built-up dirt and instantly revive leathers, while enhancing products’ freshness. Products to use: 9033600 Ecco foam cleaner / 9033000 Ecco shoe refresher spray. Care Our care products work like ”lotion” to soften, moisturise and improve your skin’s elasticity. They are formulated to shine, retain suppleness and prevent leathers from drying out. Products to use: 9033300 Ecco smooth leather care cream / 9033400 Ecco nubuck & suede conditioner / 9033310 Ecco wax oil / 9034014 Ecco revive cream. Protect You need to protect your skin against harsh weather conditions, so does leather. Our protect products work as a protective coating to keep rain and stains away. Products to use: 9033101 Ecco universal waterproofing spray / 9034017 Ecco self shine.
