Information RECOSI (Regional and European Co-Operative for Social Industry) in partnership with the International Computer Refurbisher Summit (ICRS) is to host Europe’s first conference of computer refurbishers and resellers in October in Dublin. The conference brings together IT and electronic refurbishers and resellers from across Europe and the US, to showcase new developments and examples of best practices in this fledgling but growing industry and to explore the many exciting challenges and opportunities Ireland and Europe faces as consumption of devices and equipment continues to rise. RECOSI’s main objective is to develop the commercial activity of social enterprises in a meaningful and profitable way by combining the resources and expertise of both the social enterprises and commercial sector. The aim is to create a commercially unified model between social enterprises and commercial bodies in the IT reuse and WEEE market, which is directly delivering social value, commercial revenue and environmental protection.
