General description Creative industries, previously somewhat separated from the rest of the economy, has recently been recognised as a key sector in the fast growing knowledge economy. NoCry (Northern Creative Youth) is a transnational project which aims to spread knowledge, enhance networking and support the development of entrepreneurial culture among young creative people in the Northern areas of Europe. In addition to experimental education, training and physical incubator services, the NoCry project will develop an Internet platform, www.incubiz.eu, for business incubators and creative people to support business development in the creative sector. NoCry will also develop new ICT based tools for co-productions over distances and the distribution of creative productions. The NoCry INCUBIZ will contain information, knowledge, models and best practices on how to develop incubator services for creative industries, and how to start a creative business. NoCry will not be a mere virtual databank; it will also act as a platform for interaction between people and organisations in the Northern Periphery area. INCUBIZ will support young creative people interested in becoming entrepreneurs, and it will offer them opportunities to get contacts and foster networking across borders.
NoCry is co-financed by Interreg IV B Northern Periphery Programme.
